Life Insurance

My travel group includes four people who are not related. Who do I list as my beneficiary?

Short Answer

If you list a beneficiary, they will be the beneficiary for all travelers. You can also choose to leave the field blank, and the beneficiary for each traveler will default in the following order: spouse, children, parents, and estate.

More Detail

You can list anyone you would like as a beneficiary when filling out the information on the purchase page for your policy. However, the beneficiary listed on the policy will be the beneficiary for all travelers on the policy. If you choose to leave the beneficiary field blank, the default beneficiary would follow this order for each traveler: spouse, children, parents, and then estate.

If you would like to add more beneficiaries to the policy for each traveler, this is an option and can be done by contacting your travel insurance provider.

This information can vary based on the travel insurance policy. Please review the policy certificate to verify coverage.
