While on our cruise vacation I woke up in the middle of the night, felt hot and then chills. Went to see the cruise medical doctor that morning. She gave me 2 different prescriptions. The doctor bill was charge to my cruise account. Returned home and submitted the medical bill to the insurance company and within 3 days I had the reimbursement in my account. Excellent service with the insurance company.

After purchasing my initial policy, I realized I hadn't included the full value of the trip and needed to amend the coverage, so I contacted Generali Global Assistance customer service to make the change. The agent was helpful, knowlegable about how to make the adjustment, and expedient in making the change and providing the way for me to pay the premium difference.
I had felt self critical for making the error in the first place, but talking with a customer service agent who was genuinely warm made a huge difference and eased my anxiousness. 5 Stars for sure!

Agent was very helpful explaining the process of filing a claim, This was our 15th trip outside the USA and due to an accident we were unable to travel. The filing process required a lot of information, but the way it is laid out (template) was straight forward and made sense. I just submitted the claim and look forward to continued good service

VERY PLEASED WITH OVERALL PROCESS! 5+Stars
My wife and I have had the good fortune of Traveling Internationally for several years. I have read many reviews of Travel Insurance experiences and felt disappointed when I would see a 5 star rating and then read, "We didn't need to file a claim" I generally found myself just shopping and making my decision based on Price and Brand (Had I ever heard of the Company?) I was given very good advise when I called SQUAREMOUTH's CUSTOMER SERVICE and followed the guidance, "You wake up the day of your trip and for some covered reason you have to cancel," How much would you lose Out of Pocket"? On the day before our trip I had an injury to my foot/hip that required a trip to the ER and they sent me to an Orthopedic Doctor the next day. I was advised not to Travel and had the Doctor's Office give me a Note with the NO TRAVEL ADVISE. I called and cancelled the Airlines and the Travel Company in Greece. I asked them to email me with proof that I had cancelled prior to departure time. YOU WILL NEED THIS FOR YOUR CLAIM.
The claim itself was straight forward on GENERALI CLAIM SITE, and their response time was Excellent I had one call asking for additional information and then a second call telling me that the status of my claim moved to Approved . I had my Check direct deposited in less than 25 days from filing to deposit. I was able to change my airlines tickets with no frees (based on Premium Economy fare rules), and of the $8400 Total Ground portion, I received a postponement credit of $3,000 from my Travel Agency and a check deposited for $5300 from GENERALI. The $100 difference is due to Currency exchange rates. USD to Euro.
We are in the process of rebooking our trip in Oct and I KNOW THAT WE WILL BE USING GENERALI GLOBAL ASSISTANCE as our Insurance provider.

This is the 4th or 5th travel policy that I've gotten with Generali (generally via Squaremouth), and I'd certainly use them again on any upcoming trip.
Although I've never had to file a claim, I did use their customer service to change coverage from a recent prospective trip, for which I'd first purchased insurance, to a different one that I actually wound up taking --before the trip began. I expected a long wait on hold and problems making the change. But neither was the case. A Generali agent picked up my call straight away and was very helpful in helping me make the change to cover my 'new' trip. Great support and customer service!

I filed a claim as I had surgery for cancer scheduled during my planned Grand Canyon trip.
I was supposed to receive $8500 in the mail, but it was mailed to an incorrect address (not sure why; they have my correct mailing address).
Anyway, after multiple attempts I am being told to refile and plan to wait another 2 weeks for the check to arrive in the mail.
So, I have been waiting for over a month and now another 2 weeks for money I should have received in early April.

Having this insurance when we travel is an important part of relaxing. No need to worry about if something happens like get hurt and need medical care, flights get delayed luggage gets lost. We rented a car we’re covered having that peace of mind makes having a vacation even better.

It was an easy process to purchase the Travel insurance policy through Squaremouth, comparing several options before we decided on one of them. We faced a travel delay by one day due to a missed connection on our return trip, so we submitted a claim online. The travel delay reimbursement was processed within 48 hours of our claim submission and the payment was issued promptly. Overall, a very smooth process without any personal interaction.
