Had to cancel due to death of our granddaughter. Still waiting for a death certificate to file for a refund. Did not go on the cruise. I did cancel it with Carnival, about a week before sailing.

The claim went smoothly. But I wish they paid full price for all the things we had to buy during the period that our luggage were lost for 3 days. We had all the receipts. We bought only necessarily things. We did not buy anything the first 2 days until they told us that they were not sure when our bags would get there. We could have bought more but we tried to wash our clothes as much as we could. (No dryer in Italy and it rained during that time. So we had to use iron and hair dryer to dry our clothes. It was a pain.) However the representatives whom we talked to while on the trip was VERY VERY nice and helpful.

The experience with World Trips has been great. We had to file a claim due to a weather delay for a cruise. My only “complaint” is that Cbp Connect that handles the claim provides no updates except when claim is processed. You can’t see any progression or even that a claim was filed online.

CBP Connect was the third party that handled the claim. There were no updates along the way. The website only shows claim after it’s processed which isn’t helpful. I had to resubmit information I originally provided. That delayed the claim further. When I called to speak to customer service and was told it would be expedited due to length of time and would receive decision in 3 days, it took another week. Overall the process was unorganized and frustrating.

The 24 hour assistance was at times a little difficult to deal with, a lot of back and forth, I think ultimately rebooking the flight myself might have been easier, there was a lot of "we have a flight for you at this time" and then getting back to me with "there's been a price hike on that flight". They did eventually get it all together, and it was nice to be able to have them worrying about it in the background while I concentrated on other things, and they found something a bit cheaper than what I had been able to find online.
