When calling, the agents always give options, make recommendations (after LISTENING to our primary concerns) and are so friendly and helpful. We didn't need to make a claim on this last trip but we did so on the prior one and they, yet again, were incredibly helpful. We suggest Squaremouth to our friends before traveling.

Unfortunately, because of health reasons we didn’t make the trip. Wish we had cancellation insurance. That was $8k down the drain.

i had to wait online at least 25 minutes for someone to answer and then i was transferred two times and then they referred me to a couple hospitals in paris, where i was traveling which i did not find helpful. i would have preferred a chiropractor or back specialist. then to file a claim you wanted a copy of my medical history...not sure how i could have provided that from a foriegn country so i just decided to live with the pain. dealing with your company was more difficult than the pain...and i guess that is the point. to disuade customers from using foriegn medical facilities or doctors. your company was total waste of time and money. elaine lee esq.

The on-line portal to upload information for making a claim is very easy to use.
However, after uploading documents, I was sent an email asking to verify information which had already been submitted. It appears that Generali does not do a good review of information submitted, at least on-line.
I subsequently chose to re-send the information again via email so that I could annotate and explain how each document did indeed answer their questions. It was an annoyance to have to re-submit and re-document everything. Perhaps Generali should not use their on-line portal for claims as it went more smoothly via email.
I am still awaiting payment, which was requested via check so I recognize it will take some time. I would have preferred a credit back to the credit card used, but this was not an option. I did not want to provide banking or other financial information to get the refund.

After multiple problems and accidents during my trip, after the contact with insurance I've got a polite answer that nothing will be covered, not canceled flight, not injury, not fraudulent ticket.
They have smart tricks and words to avoid paying claims. My first and last time with Generali Global assistance.
