Their response was timely, claim process was straightforward and went smoothly.

I tried to call and ask trip delay coverage as my flight got cancelled at 3am. I got thru one person but she was not the right person. She transferred me to the right number but it went thru the voice mail. what's the point of 24 hour assistance?

Unfortunately two of our party got sick during our trip, and the policy fully covered their medical expenses. We also had to change flights to come home early to care for my mother in law, who was traveling with us but not covered under our policy, as she also fell seriously ill during the trip. The policy fully covered that additional cost, as well. The illnesses put a damper on our trip, but it was a great relief to know we were covered for these additional costs. We would definitely purchase travel insurance from BHTP again.

Reasonable price welcome.
Travel Guard and others' prices r ridiculous.
However, the proof of the pudding is in the claims experience, and I didn't have one, thankfully.

So my ratings r kind of useless imo.

Absolutely appalling experience ! Avoid BHSIC at all costs. I bought this travel insurance to protect my family during a long international trip, only to be coldly denied coverage when my 5-year-old child was hospitalized abroad. Their excuse? We didn’t pre-book a return flight — a petty technicality buried in fine print and absurdly irrelevant in today’s flexible travel landscape. I provided every document requested, stayed in constant communication, and incurred less than $1,500 in valid medical costs — still, they refused to pay. Appeals were ignored. Only after disputing the charge through my credit card did I recover a fraction of what I was owed. BHSIC then retroactively canceled my policy after it had already expired — a blatant dodge of responsibility. This company betrayed my trust during a true emergency, and their handling of claims is disgraceful. Think twice before trusting them with your family's safety.
