Experience has been good to this point
I sustained a severe knee injury 11 weeks prior to my scheduled trip. The required surgical repair has a typical projected recovery time of 6-12 months. So, I cancelled the trip, and submitted my initial claim notice to Travel Insured on April 17th. After several Travel Insured requests and submittals/re-submittals of additional information/documentation, it is now June 17th.
I will update when there is a final claim resolution - I am still hoping for a positive outcome...
P.S. On a more positive note - I just had my 10 week post-op follow-up with my Ortho Surgeon, and I can now be load-bearing without my brace and I can drive again!!
