Travel Insured came through and covered my claim, so overall I am happy! The individuals I exchanged email or phone calls with were very helpful and pleasant.
Two areas that could use improvement:
- The online claim portal was broken. I could not upload several documents, and some that I uploaded were apparently not received. This led to lots of back-and-forth with the claims folks. They were lovely, but that inefficiency was a little frustrating.
- Although I had to cancel for medical reasons, I noticed in reviewing my policy that the cancel-for-any-reason coverage ended 3 days before departure date. This could be a rude surprise for anyone who needed that coverage--that should ideally be changed, but at least made more obvious prior to purchase.

No concerns at all. It was easy to increase my coverage as my expenses increased. Very friendly and efficient.
Avoid, avoid, avoid. This company is awful and I won't buy from them again. One leg of our international flight was canceled and we had no access to our bags for 2 days. We submitted a claim for normal expenses like toiletries and clothes for that period and the company denied it on a technicality.
First time purchasing travel insurance as we were planning a trip to Mexico and a cruise to Alaska. Got food poisoning in Mexico and had to be treated there by a gastroenterologist. Filed a claim upon our return and was pleasantly surprised that the process went smoothly and the claim was paid. They do require receipts for diagnosis, treatment and medications so be sure to keep good records. We are very satisfied with squaremouth and will be using them moving forward.

Claim process was easy to do, I had a couple of questions that were answered promptly by telephone support and the claim was approved and paid in less than 2 weeks from being completed and submitted.
Filing my claim was very easy and it was paid promptly.
I will file a claim to get back monies that I had to pay out of pocket because American Aiirlines was late arriving for a connecting flight to Rome. I was delayed a day and was put up in a hotel but they did not pay for food for my husband and myself durning my hold over until my rebooked flight 24 hours later.
