It was very easy to sign up for travel insurance. I called one time to ask a question, and the lady was very short with me. This was the first time we have purchased travel insurance.
thank you
It would have been important to know that the insurance would not pay the hopital ER in Spain at the time of my injury even though the total bill was available. I will be filing a claim.
I sent in the receipts for the claim on November 11, 2025. I received an email stating that they had been received and would be hearing from them about the claim. . So far nothing. The amount of the claim is $182.15. For such a small amount I would have thought it would be over by now. The claim was submitted on behalf of Anthony Denman. May be a month is not a long time..
After much research, we purchased your FlexiPAX policy because it offered industry leading Cancellation, Interruption & Medical coverage.
I spoke with your representative, Justin, on 4/11/25 to clarify the policy fine print in the event that we had to cancel our trip. He informed me that the policy would still be in force for 3 yrs from the date of purchase & that any changes must be made before the original trip departure date.
As with other forms of insurance, we felt the need to reduce our trip coverage in order to keep the premium within our budget.
Luckily we did not have to cancel our trip or file a claim, but having the travel insurance gave us peace of mind.
We have recommended your company to many of our traveling friends & will likely use your services again for our future travel.
The agent I spoke with was helpful and responsive to my needs.
We spoke to 2 agents before our trip and 2 upon return. In all instances, the claim representative was friendly, professional and helpful. We have a claim pending and hopefully, it will be handled as well. At this point, we would rate them highly.
I had to cancel my trip. I received partial payment on my claim and am waiting for rest to be processed. I was advised last week that it was approved. Still waiting.
I was not able to contact anyone using any of the numbers provided - both for the US and where I was in Austria. No luck getting any responses to questions I have while I was traveling. Was not able to contact anyone so if I had an issue I would not have been able to have spoken with anyone. Can you provide feedback?
As easy as purchasing travel insurance can be.
The requirements for filing a claim are ridiculous. They want everything but a pound of my flesh. They even ask for things that are unrelated to my claim. I did the best I could, but don't know if my valid claim (regarding a cancelled flight and related delay) will be accepted.
I have previously had a similar claim with Allianz that was easy to file and easily resolved with a prompt payment.
I won't use Squaremouth again if the insurance is handled by Travel Insured International. Please don't contact them now. Let's wait the four weeks and see what happens.

Travel Insured eventually paid almost all of my claim, but it took more than two months, with several email exchanges and two telephone calls, from the date that I submitted my claim until I received notice that the claim had been approved. According to them, "the check is in the mail", and I expect to receive it in early January.
I had to submit material to Travel Insured on four separate occasions, one of which required a letter from United Airlines, which was followed by a request for proof of any refund paid to me by United. I was able to find an online statement of a refund of $0.01, which was the final needed step. I also submitted, as expected, receipts for my alternate airfare plus public transportation between Newark Airport and JFK Airport. For some inexplicable reason, they only paid two of the three public transportation expenses, but I decided not to pursue that issue further, since it was for a small amount.
My previous travel claim (a couple of years ago) was made through Allianz, which was much easier to manage.
I may use SquareMouth again, but I would never again choose to use Travel Insured.
