Our cruise was delayed and shortened due to hurricane Dorian. We were given a future cruise credit, which is subject to conditions. We were not given a refund, so if the credit is not honored in the future, we will submit a claim for the loss.
So My Wife's mother passed away before our trip started and so we had to change our original outbound flights and so just making claim for difference in Airfare. So far they said they would be sending me the claim forms so that I can make my claim for the fee. Will update after the claims process is complete.
Our luggage was delayed for at least 30 hours. I sent in my proof. I only put in a claim for $107.00 because I had to purchase a few items in order to tour the next day. The documents are in the mail right now.
I gave Travel Insured International 5 stars; though consider them just a notch below (maybe like 4 1/2 stars) as the processing of the claim seemed to take a little longer than I would of thought. However, after sending them the additional information they requested; they paid 100% of the claimed amount.
My return trip was delayed by two days by Hurricane Dorian, then an additional day due to airplane mechanical problems. My policy says I would be reimbursed $200 per day for trip interruption but I was told I could not file a claim without receipts for expenses, which I no longer have.
Unfortunately, our plans do require receipts in order to approve any expenses that were paid. We urge our travelers to keep all receipts and documents while traveling.
