I believe I sent Travel Insured all the required info, yet I rec'd an email asking for more, some of which was the same that had already been sent. It felt like they are delaying resolving the claim. I am working on it again. The note from the doctor gave dates that were pertinent and listed the medical issue. The
request for a doctor to send this, never mentioned it had to be on a special form. Did not know of this form.
I am hearing from friends that this is not a good company to deal with. They delay and nit pick details.
Squaremouth is a great one stop shopping site to analyze many companies and get the coverage and price you want.
It’s too early to rate them. My claim has been in for 2 weeks and I haven’t heard anything. Hopefully it will go smoothly

There was a bit of a back and forth hassle but nothing terribly frustrating. The claim was paid within 6 weeks.
I filed a claim under cancel for any reason. It took 4 months for them to settle this claim, requiring over a dozen items to be submitted, asking for repeated inputs of some items, and making errors in arithmetic and understanding of inputs that I had to correct via multiple emails and phone calls. They made claim handling very difficult, slow, and unhelpful. In the end they did pay what was owed.
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the frustrations you’ve experienced, as we thrive to provide each and every traveler with the best possible customer service. We will further investigate your experience. Thank you for your patience.
I submitted the claim on 12/20/2019. Resubmitted all required documents on 1/4/2020. No results yet, not even confirmation of receipt. Very unhappy with the insurance company.
Filing a claim was easy on line but then you get no feedback or acknowledgement for weeks,
The agent we spoke to while on the trip Sounded helpful, but in fact she did not send the claim form she said she would send, and when I called the follow up when we were home, that customer service agent said that the claim number the original agent have given us was not a real thing and that she had no records in the system of our phone call.

It’s been six weeks since I filed my claim. I emailed just after I sent the claim to confirm receipt. No reply. I wrote four weeks ago. No reply. I wrote one week ago and got an auto reply saying they were committed to a prompt reply. I received a note three days ago saying someone would call me within 48 hours. Still no call. They owe me $2500.
i originally planned to go to tahiti but changed my mind and went to christchurch new zealand instead. i had to change dates of policy. your customer service said i had to contact insurance company. no problem.
i've used squaremouth for many years, never a problem, never a claim. i may have crossed a threshold age wise and usual policy wasn't available, another slightly more expensive was.
So far so good. All of our paperwork has been received.

It was amazingly simple. We gathered the paperwork, scanned and sent it. We will certainly use them again when we travel.
On my trip from Knoxville to Auckland, one of my bags was delayed. According to the documents that were provided to me before my trip, if I had a baggage delay longer than 24 hours I could file a claim for $200. I paid approximately $800 on insurance for mine and my wife's trip. After I returned back home I called one of your representatives to file a claim, but was asked if I had receipts for the items I purchased because of the delay. No where in the documents provided to me was there an indication I would have to retain receipts. Your representative said it was detailed in the policy which wasn't provided to me. Guess I'll be a little more selective with my insurance on my next trip and ensure I ask for more than what is provided.
