I dealt with Travel Insured International a few months before and found they are nice to deal with on the phone and email.
none yet, waiting to see if they pay my claim, which they should, as my husband tripped and fell prior to our trip and we had to cancel the trip.

Asked for documentation that was sent in with complete package the first time, Slowing down the payment time.
Otherwise no complaints
As I was comparing insurance, debating which policy would be better and reading customer ratings I had no issues. My last purchase for insurance was through Allianz Global for my vacation July 2018. While I had no issues with Allianz and did not file a claim, I switched this time based off of reviews and positive feedback for Travel Insured. My purchase was easy.
However, this time my father-in-law's health took a turn for the worse and I had to contact Travel Insured about canceling my trip the day before I was scheduled to leave. The representative I first talked with was awesome. She seemed to genuinely care about my situation. However, she put me in contact with the claims department. The claims department representative was not understanding with my situation. I was calling for help and had no idea what steps I was to take to cancel my trip. She was short in her responses and came across as uncaring. I gave an overall rating of 3. It really was a 5 for my first representative and a 0 (if possible) for my claims representative.
I have recently filed all of my paper work for my claim from my canceled vacation. (FYI: It took 26 pages of documentation to file a claim.) At this time I do not know how or if my claim will be resolved. Ultimately, canceling our trip was best for my family. We were able to spend four more days with my father-in-law before he passed away.
I did lost my 3500 dolars in the cruise the I did call the insurance customer service and I told her about my lost she check the policy andd told me
that ( hearing aid were not coverd , so really I believe what she told me, I cannot make an opinion since i could not use tbe benefit . I was disapointed
but I acepted her answer.
process went smooth the only thing is I wish was provided with a time frame. It was handled within 2 weeks but I had no idea how long the process may take or when it would be reviewed. Something like "Your submission will be reviewed withing x# days at which point we will reach out with a status or additional questions"
Filed 3/7 via gmail asking all correspondence to copy my primary email.. Email to only gmail 3/13 said they had claim but stating there were no attachments (the secondary insurance received them so not sure why TII didn't have. Because they didnt copy primary email, I didnt see this until 3/18. Re-sent attachments 3/18. Asked for confirmation and for second time asked them to copy my primary email on all correspondence. So far, not a warm hand off.
I called the insurance provider since my son decided not to come to the trip.
I got my refund through the airline, but when notified the travel insurance, they said they will not cover any issue within 48 hours before travel.
I had to have a serious discussion that if there was an emergency happening and it was 48 hours of departure, they have to cover the lost.
I am still not clear why they told me they would not cover any covered expense if it happened within 48 hours of departure. That is why we purchase insurance!
Will be determined by how my claim is handled.
Although I received proof of purchase of travel insurance from SquareMouth, I did not receive any confirmation of coverage nor ID cards from Travel Insured International. Fortunately, I noticed this omission two days before sailing when I was gathering my travel documents. We had previously purchased insurance from another carrier through SquareMouth and were always issued ID cards as soon as the payment was processed, so I knew we should have had them. Customer Service at Travel Insured International emailed cards to us when I called. (I'm glad that I noticed this on a Thursday and not on a weekend because no one could have done this on Saturday or Sunday as their offices are closed.)
We had to cancel our cruise a day before sailing when my husband was injured in an automobile accident. We have filed a claim with Travel Insured International and should hear from them on or before March 22, 2019.
I have recommended SquareMouth to many of my fellow travelers and will continue to do so as I believe you offer a valuable service. However, I will caution them to be sure that that have proof of coverage and/or ID cards prior to leaving town.
Thank you for your kind attention to this matter.
