Very disappointed. This policy was for my son who was traveling to Brazil. His return flight left on Aug 6 but it was over night and his arrival back in the US was Aug 7. I was asked his return flight date which I put as Aug 6. However when I realized that he would not arrive until Aug 7 I asked customer service to extend his policy 1 day to cover his return flight until he arrived in the US. They made me pay for an extension which cost $4 plus $5 service fee. That is ridiculous. If your purchase process would have made clear that I needed to add 1 extra day for a 2 day return trip I would have saved $9. Not acceptable. Not to mention charging a service fee that is more than the cost of the extension. Very disappointed.
It was difficult to find how to file a claim. After you figure it out, you need to register on a different site to file a claim. The form has plenty of fields asking for a lot of details.
I tried to fill the form in a couple of times on the site. Both times, I got an error closer to the end of the form. Probably, it was a session timeout error. The worst thing is that you have to fill all fields in again from the very beginning. I gave up.

I submitted my claim on July 28, 2024, for medical claim from June 18, 2024, as this is when I received the invoice. I was emailed August 18, 2024, to send more documents, which I sent immediately. It's now 40 days since I filed my claim and nothing. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have read only about Manulife and Allianz paying benefits 5 days after a claim is filed. I will not forget about this and will continue to purse if I do not hear back in the next 3 days.
Submitted a claim for a doctor visit while in Ireland and I received payment about 2 weeks later.
Easy and speedy
We travel on cruise ships twice a year. My husband is a speaker onboard and the insurance is a requirement. (We would have purchased it anyway.) We have never had an occasion to need it, but it's good to know it's there, just in case.
It's affordable and the people we spoke to are helpful and proactove.
I had to cancel the trip before it would have started due to medical reasons. I have trip cancellation included in my policy I purchased. But am still working on getting my refund. I feel at the present time like they are making me jump through obvious hoops that they could easily verify that I did everything correctly. Am still waiting on it all to be finalized and refunded.
My experience with customer service was very good they helped me find the best plan form our trip. I felt that they cared about making sure we were protected and it is nice to know that even though we did not use the policy we were covered
