If you are quarantined in your home state and are unable to travel, you may be covered by Trip Cancellation.
Certain travel insurance providers have not assigned a foreseen date to the coronavirus pandemic, and may still provide Trip Cancellation benefits for travelers who cannot travel because they are quarantined or contracted the coronavirus. For travelers who do not yet have a policy, the following providers may still offer coverage in this situation:
- April Travel Protection (Pandemic Plus policy)
- Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection
- Seven Corners
- Tin Leg (Economy, Standard, Luxury, Adventure, and USA Only policies)
- Travelex Insurance Services
If you purchased a policy before the coronavirus outbreak became foreseen, other travel insurance providers may also provide this coverage. Depending on the provider, this date ranges between January 21 and January 27.
