What if I don’t want to go on my upcoming trip because of the recent attacks in Brussels?

In order for an event to be covered under standard Trip Cancellation policies, it must meet one of the policy’s specific covered reasons. Unfortunately, not wanting to travel, or being too scared to travel, are not covered under standard Trip Cancellation policies.

The only option for travelers who want this cancellation option is to purchase a policy with the Cancel for Any Reason upgrade. This benefit is separate from Trip Cancellation, and can cover reasons otherwise excluded by the standard benefit. Cancel for Any Reason reimburses up to 75% of your prepaid and nonrefundable trip cost.

However, this benefit is time sensitive, and in order to be eligible for the upgrade, you must purchase a policy within 14-30 days from your first deposit date. It also requires you to insure 100% of your trip cost, and cancel your trip within 2-3 days of your scheduled departure date.
