Icelandic Volcano Bardarbunga Erupts

Iceland’s Bardarbunga volcano erupted for the second time in the early morning of September 1st, spewing lava 50 meters into the air.

This eruption is likely related to Friday’s eruption as well.

The eruption caused the aviation warning level to raise to red for a short period of time, but has been scaled back down to level orange.
