Poor Communication and Lack of Accountability to Blame in MERS Spread

Criticisms are continuing to be handed to the Saudi government concerning the lack of attention and poor handling of the mass outbreak of MERS. While newly appointed health officials in the country insist that conditions have approved, 113 cases were added last week.

A lack of reporting infected individual’s conditions led some hospitals in the kingdom to fail to take necessary precautions, causing the virus to continue to spread.

Improved enforcement of health care control and procedures have been called for in the country.
