Many Aegis customers appreciate the level of service they receive when they have questions about their coverage or need assistance while traveling. In contrast, other travelers have reported difficulties in obtaining status updates on filed claims.
It took a really long time to process the claim, the procedure was complex, many things that I understood would be covered were not. I did get a substantial amount of money to cover expenses, but the communications were difficult. At one point they sent me back a form saying it wasn't signed and it was signed. They arbitrarily excluded aspects of my claim. I'd try a different service next time.
We’re sorry to hear that Mr. Fleischman was dissatisfied with the claim process. It’s worth noting that we were able to process payment within approximately 10 days following receipt of the required backup documentation.
We’ll take the insured’s comments into account to look for ways to simplify things further moving forward.
Emailed GoReady with my claim. Return email stated a claims representative would contact me in 7-10 days. They did not. Called the claims phone number. Representative took my information and stated that I needed to sent claim information by email and a claim adjuster would then get in touch with me in 7-10 days. So far, not contacted yet. Very disappointed in their customer service. Would not recommend this company.
We did correspond with Cathy this past Monday regarding her claim & the backup documentation that would be required. Following this review, we were able to speak with Cathy again & help get her claims initiated. She appears to be happy once again.
Thanks
Customer service and the 24 hour assistance was not very knowledgeable and concise of the questions I had regarding filing a claim. I was informed to call someone else to inquire about filing a claim and it was difficult and challenging because of the time difference and where I was at the time. It was a struggle, long wait time with multiple days of calling, and inconvenience before we received some kind of guidance.
We spoke to this client shortly after receiving this review. We apologized for any lack of clarity from our 24/7 emergency support team. They're role is to provide emergency logistical assistance. Any detailed questions regarding claims should go through our claims department or customer service center.
After our conversation today, the insured was clear on next steps regarding their claim which is now in process.
I hope the claim process will be direct and straight forward. I noticed confusing and redundant document requirements requested in the claims portal which could use some review for optimization.
After receiving this review, we called the insured to make sure they understood what was required to move forward with the claims process. They were clear & provided some nice feedback on ways they thought things could be simplified. That information was shared with our management team.
We’re sure their claims process will go smoothly from here, but we’re available should they have any questions.
GoReady 24hr assistance and customer service was terrible. They put you in a catch22 where they say you need to get a PCR test to confirm COVID but the UK has stopped doing PCR tests. GoReady took 5 days to tell me they would not honor my claim unless I got a COVID PCR test, but I had asked them to provide a provider to give me such a test and they failed to provide a vendor or service that could do one in the country/city where I was, and then took 5 days to get back to me, by which point I was mostly through with COVID but of course my trip/hotels/flights were all lost. I am very disappointed in the support received from GoReady and would not buy from them again nor recommend anyone else buy any of their plans since they make it impossible for customers to file a claim.
too soon to tell.
I faxed my paperwork on 8/11/22 I hope it was received; I would appreciate a reply to this note.
Pre-departure experience with GoReady rated 3 stars because it is not applicable.
With GoReady acquiring April Travel, it is difficult finding the website to file claims.
James, we’re sorry to hear you had trouble finding us. All the former April phone numbers & email addresses still work & forward to the same staff that now works under the GoReady brand. It looks like you already spoke with one of our GoReady specialists this morning & we opened several claims for you.
Cancel for any reason,
Insurance provider denied to honor it for 1 person. Either whole party need to cancel, or none.
This doesn't make any sense.
We are sorry to hear that the insured was disappointed with a restriction noted in their policy. The following language appears in the TRIP CANCELLATION FOR ANY REASON BENEFIT section on Page 12 of their policy’s Description of Coverage document which they received on their date of purchase:
Limitations
Please be advised this benefit is not available unless all Insured under your coverage cancel the Trip.
This restriction was likely put into place by the underwriter to prevent cases of fraud. We’re not saying that this insured was attempting to do that, but simply providing them an explanation as to why underwriters usually require this on CFAR claims.
