Your customer service to be helpful when I was stranded with COVID in Buenos Aires - that part was good and you helped me get retested so I could get home. Now, I am having a little trouble filing the claim. The portal for uploading claim receipts and forms was not working and I was told I could either send it in by mail or email to my claim specialists email. That took a few more phone calls, but I was finally able to email the forms. Still waiting to hear what will happen.
Yes, we were having some brief issues with our claims portal that was not allowing some users to upload their backup documentation. The event i was attending was completely cancelled and refunded due to covid... ONE DAY after the final day to cancel this insurance policy. A whole $93 dollars. Drop in the bucket for multi million dollar company. I politely requested a cancelation since it was a trip cancelation out of my control. I was of course denied. So basically instead of protecting me from anything, you chose to steal $93 from me for a trip not taken.
And I think that is a horrible business practice.
I think the customer service agent might have confused our claim for a trip cancellation claim instead of a cancel for any reason claim, and if this is the case, it might be causing delays in our refund.

There were significant delays in approving my claim and sending me my refund.
It was horrible to find myself in need and have no one answered the phone when I finally got through with Global Assistance which is who handles their calls during needs while abroad I had the worst experience while having Covid and a dental emergency all at the same time, it was indeed terrifying to think that they are the people who are supposed to assist during a hard time while traveling
Claim uploaded a month ago without update. Customer service reps have supposedly escalated, but still no response. Turnaround time should be 2-3 days.
They talk a big game about their no stress service, and that they will front money for claims as losses happen. Ha! No. They told me that was only for medical emergencies and transportation- which seems like something they should mention on the ad lol. I got COVID in Germany and they basically said figure it out yourself. In retrospect would have spent more money for better service.

Easy to buy, difficult to use
Had to postpone trip due to Covid and was able to extend the policy until a later date with no issues.
The experience was almost entirely positive. My one complaint is that I wanted some more in-depth definitions of coverage and I was told that no one was available on the weekends to give that to me.
