I am still trying to settle my claim. There is virtually no customer service. No 800 number. They only have an address for communications. they are slow to respond.

Very slow to respond. Kept asking for info already sent. They did respond and closed the claim positively after I contacted squaremouth,
Hard to rate this policy, since, fortunately, we had no reason to contact you once we were on the trip.
Claim filed November 26, 2019. Have not received any RESPONSE from then as yet (Dec. 26, 2019).

Squaremouth was super helpful in picking the right policy for the right price. They didn’t try to sell me a policy that costs more with things I didn’t need. Luckily I didn’t have to use the policy while on vacation but I have no doubt that things would have gone smoothly with this policy. Thank you Squaremouth and April!
Our flight AA flight # 3816 from Chicago to Kansas City on 9/27/2019 was cancelled due to bad weather. By then it was too late for us to find a motel near the airport for the night because all motels were booked. We ended up sleeping in the airport We were re-booked for 9/28/2019 first from Chicago to Denver and then from Denver to Kansas City.
I filed a claim for the additional meals incurred as a result of the delay both for the evening and the following morning. The claim was submitted to the claim office on Oct 7, 2019. Despite several phone calls to the claim office and email, up to now I have not received any reply or answer to my claim which is simple and uncomplicated with all the supporting receipts attached to it.
We are very disappointed with the service of this company. Based on this experience, we will never purchase another insurance from April Travel Protection in the future.[
We hope you can help us rectify the problem we have.

Nothing was done on the claim for 2 months until Squaremouth intervened. This shows the lousy service of the claims department.
I have not received the claim form. And yes, I check my spam folder daily.
I had a question about the coverage and got a clear answer. Well pleased.

So far very professional, however the claims filing process is a little disjointed and stuck between online and paper processes. No reason it can’t all be done online without completing actual pieces of paper versus inputting info into a claims module
Representatives were friendly and helpful. Needed forms were sent timely.
