  • Aegis policy: Go Ready Trip Cancellation

    After initially contacting April customer service, they promptly sent me the claims documentation that I needed in order to submit my claim. I completed the documentation and uploaded it to the portal as instructed on 8/20. According to their portal, files would be reviewed within 5 business days. It is now 9/16 and the files still show not reviewed. I have e-mailed and called my claims agent and she has not responded since. She has not replied to an e-mail, answered the phone, or called me back after leaving a voicemail.

    Will definitely never use April Travel Protection again.

    I have contacted Squaremouth customer service and they are stepping up in order to resolve the claim. They have been very responsive, I hope that they have more success than I do.

    After initiating the Zero Complaint Review process, the claim was addressed in rapid fashion by both April Travel and SquareMouth. Very impressed with their support throughout the Zero Compliant Review process.

Upon receipt of this review, our Customer Service Team notified the policyholder that we were still pending receipt of some supporting documentation. Shane was able to quickly provide that information after which his claim was settled within 1 day.

    I would like you to know that I am STILL WAITING for the representative from April to contact me with a resolution on my claim. Yesterday for the first time she responded by phone to my claim being filed and my 5 phone calls and email, since the beginning of August!!
    This company is terrible.

    Since I happily did not have to file a claim, I don’t have much to report. I did have a few questions after I had made my purchase and they were answered promptly and politely. I picked the policy bc it covered what I needed at a good price.

    One agent gave me the wrong information. He quoted for .Idaho not Iowa.. I had to call back and fortunately I got the help I needed.

    April’s claim process is too slow, and there is no way to start a claim online. That is a major hassle.

    They should be required to make online claim processing available.

    While traveling in Mexico, my husband suffered from a seizure and had to be transported via ambulance to the hospital. April insurance was the best advocate we could have ever asked for. In a foreign country where we did not speak the language, April became our sanity. They could call back on occasion to check on my husbands health, gave us fantastic support and travel advise and really made us happy. We highly recommend April and will be using them for all of our future travels.

    Horrible assistant. I called asking for medical assistant. They asked me for several documents and it took more than 5 days to get a doctor appointment. I ended up paying a private doctor. I don’t recommend and I will never buy April again.
