Many Aegis customers appreciate the level of service they receive when they have questions about their coverage or need assistance while traveling. In contrast, other travelers have reported difficulties in obtaining status updates on filed claims.
We thought that State Department changes that may have caused carriers to discontinue flying to our destination would have been covered under our insurance, only to find out that it was not. We learned that to have this type of coverage, you need to purchase "cancel for any reason." This doesn't seem reasonable as the changes would have been to no fault of our own.
Fortunately the US government didn't enact additional restrictions to Cuba and we did not have to cancel our trip.
Now we know.
I submitted my claim through April travel protection (Susan Mendez) and received a confirmation of claim submission on October 3rd. 45 BUSINESS days later, I contacted Susan to follow up only to be told she wasn't sure why it hadn't been finalized but would check on it and call me back. 2 more days later after NO response, I attempted to call back. Put on hold for 30 minutes, nothing! Finally called seven corners directly only to find out my claim was never submitted to them and they JUST received it 2 days earlier, on the 45th day, after I called to check on it! Still waiting on that return call from Susan! Will NEVER do business with ATP again!

April travel protection was absolutely horrible and useless! My claim has been closed and paid in FULL through seven corners but with absolutely NO help from April! I have YET to hear anything from them even after being contacted by upper management after my initial poor review. They are horrible and they KNOW it! Seven corners, however have been awesome and I'm thankful for their service!
The simple claim I had has still not been paid after 9 weeks. Appalling service, I would give Zero Stars if I could
We called inquiring how to file a claim a few days ago and they said they would email the claim form. We haven’t received it yet.
I am not sure who I spoke with. I called when in Argentina. They were very friendly, efficient, and helpful. I was hoping to file a partial claim with the airline, Aerolinas Argentina, but they will not return my calls. Now I am waiting on some paperwork and will begin the filing process.
Thank you.

April travel protection programs offer client friendly premium services that are fairly priced. We heartily endorse the April organization and recommend its services to all travelers.
No problems and excellent service
Phone connection to a live body was quite slow.
I had to change my policy insured amount before traveling. The Squaremouth representative couldn't help me. I had a hard time getting through to April's customer service. The wait time was long, couldn't leave a message and would get cut off. Once I finally got through the representative told me she was the only one working. I could tell she was stressed out about it.
There was a trip delay, but not 6 hours so that wasn't covered. No problem.
However my luggage was lost for over 24 hours and will be filing a claim for that.
We thank Carol for insuring her trip to Iceland with our April Choice travel insurance plan. We are sorry to learn that she not only encountered a Trip Delay, but also a Baggage Delay, as well.
The plan purchased does provide coverage benefits with minimum hour delay requirements prior to benefits becoming available, and both are for out of pocket purchase, reimbursement.
Carol’s Trip Delay did not meet the 6 hour delay minimum requirement, and it was explained to her that the Baggage Delay benefit requires out of pocket purchase receipts to accompany the proof of loss submission. This benefit is not one of inconvenience. While she was disappointed, she understood, and will not be further pursuing any claim reimbursement for this trip.
