Paid with credit card same day of purchase, NO response now that we have a claim! Why have travel insurance??? Gave full details for claim and were declined coverage. Will write further comments to the company, Please read the coverage policy as we did when we purchased providing us with coverage if we had a claim, what kind of policy do you offer????
Purchased additional policy for William Joseph Vollenweider under separate cover, had to cancel his travel due to illness, asked for refund when we cancelled his travel and have been denied.

they took a while to respond to my calls and emails but did answer my questions once they did. luckily i didnt have to file a claim
Since I never needed to use the insurance I can't give any feedback.
On day when emergency room care was required I tried all three of their 24-hr phone numbers. Over a period of 45 minutes none were answered. Proceeded to get transport and visited ER/ Next day contacted APRIL again and spoke with a rep in claims who put me on hold four times for 5-10 minutes each time. When I was asked to hold again, I asked if she could call me back as it was the formal dinnertime with the ship Captain. She said she would be happy to do so but never called back .
Five days later from home I called claims and spoke with a Manager. She expressed regret for the bad service and said she would look into it and email me claim forms that day. It has now been a week and I have not heard from her by phone or email. I realize that hurricane preparedness was going on in Miami where they are located.

Had to cancel Trip due to illness. Filled claim with April and they acknowledged receipt. We will see.

Quick and easy claim process. Received payment within 30 business days. Of course this claim was pretty simple: My traveling companion came down with shingles a week prior to departure.
Service was good although I did not file a claim, so can't provide feedback on that.
As always (I am a repeat Squaremouth customer), it was a pleasure to deal with Squaremouth's customer service. The people I dealt with were uniformly knowledgeable, warm and helpful.
In prior years, I was able to deal directly with Squaremouth when I wanted information about my policy or change my coverages after making an initial deposit and before my trip, but I understand that the insurers have now changed that so that I had to deal directly with April after making my initial deposit, rather than dealing with Squaremouth, as in the past. While April's customer service was ok, it was not up to the level of my experience with Squaremouth. It took longer to reach someone and the answers seemed a bit more tentative. This is not meant to be negative -- it is more of a complement to Squaremouth than any criticism of April, whose service was good as well.
Due to illness we had to cancel our trip. We did file a claim and are awaiting settlement Thus far their response has been very prompt.

It was very easy to change the policy when we extended the length of the trip. It didn't cost us anymore, though!
