Found you on the website. Had a few questions and called. Very helpful, easy. Husband could not go on trip, April sent me forms to fill out and file claim. Which I plan to do this week.
Squaremouth was referred to us by our travel agent as a possible insurance provider. After reviewing numerous policies and providers online, the APRIL policy offered by Squaremouth was chosen because it provided the coverage we needed at one of the lowest rates. .Further contact, via phone, with the provider was very helpful; the agent being courteous and able to answer all our questions. Fortunately, we had no need of the insurance in our travels.
Thankfully, I didn't need to use it. I did call to ask the CSR some questions about travel in Peru. She was helpful, but basically did the same thing I was able to do, which is use the internet to find answers.
After receiving the claim form fro APRIL insurance
We processed and sent it back with all the necessary documentation that they required.
Our claim was approved in less than 21 days.
In fact we already got the check for 100 % of the claim
Word of caution. Keep all your documentation Airlines tickets , travel itinerary . As soon as the accident happens please call the Claim department and get a claim number.
Amazing customer service with thorough protection. I felt I needed to upgrade my policy just days before I left and they responded immediately and answered all of my concerns, provided contact numbers to me over the phone and pointed out who and how to contact the proper persons for each concern I had. I felt comfortable leaving the Country knowing I had this policy coverage along with a responsive and professional team to rely upon if I had a problem. I will be using April again on my next trip. We are very disappointed and upset with APRIL travel and with Squaremouth. It has been well over 2 months since we filed a claim, and they have stalled and then the adjusters denied our claim, unjustly. It is being appealed back to the under writer, but its still taking way too long, and I don't think they intend to pay us. this was a very costly trip for us, which is why we insured. We had booked a train tour, with live music on board, from Chicago to San Antoniao and back to Chicago. The train was the trip. However we had to fly to Chicago to catch the train, on January 7. there was a big snow storm on the East coast that day, and our flight to chicago was canceled, as were most all other flights leaving Hartford for the afternoon and evening. There was no way we could get to Chicago to catch this train and join the tour. April or the adjuster denied our claim based on the fact that the airport wasn't closed for 48 hours!!! When does that ever happen? But still, irrelevant to our case since even if the air port was closed for 12 hours, we would have missed our train departure.
The adjuster was 7 Corners, ;which is financially linked to Squaremouth, so we feel that SquareMouth is complicit in this denial of our claim.

I had no claims on the most recent cruise, but I had two previous claims on 2 previous cruises and they were fair and punctual. I've now bought a second annual policy from them.
