This was the best policy I could find to protect our expensive 14-day vacation, which included a 11-night cruise to the Southern Caribbean. It had all the protections I was looking for to protect our investment. On the second day of the cruise, I developed a sinus infection and conjunctivitis in the right eye. I had to see the ship doctor and will be filing a claim for this medical expense as soon as I get all the paperwork finished. I hope my experience with the claim will be as good as my experience with purchasing the policy and interacting with your customer service team.
Trip cancelled with the only experience being the travel insurance premium, I had to contact April twice to get the premium refund. The refund was prorated.

Our team rectified this error by placing the cancellation request after discussing the pro-rated refund during his follow up call to April on 3/29/17.
Pro-rated refunds are granted under the April policies after the 14-day free look period of purchasing the policy, where applicable, for the unearned premium.
Claim was processed without hassle. However it took a gentle reminder at 32 days to get it done. They paid quickly after the reminder without argument.
The one month window of submitting a claim is a bit short when the person doing the claim is the one that was ill and thus the trip was cancelled.
Glad I didn't need the insurance, but my call to the insurance rep (to clarify an issue) was handled courteously and professionally. Thanks.

I could not locate my April insurance information (lack of printing when received on my part) so I called April customer service and the information was promptly emailed which included luggage tag information and insurance cards. Give yourself time to read the policy as it is very detailed. Even though insurance wasn't needed during our trip it was comforting to know it was there. I took my 80 yr old mother with me over seas and the policy April provided best fit our needs. Due to the prompt day before departure help from April customer service I selected five stars.
Found you on the website. Had a few questions and called. Very helpful, easy. Husband could not go on trip, April sent me forms to fill out and file claim. Which I plan to do this week.
Squaremouth was referred to us by our travel agent as a possible insurance provider. After reviewing numerous policies and providers online, the APRIL policy offered by Squaremouth was chosen because it provided the coverage we needed at one of the lowest rates. .Further contact, via phone, with the provider was very helpful; the agent being courteous and able to answer all our questions. Fortunately, we had no need of the insurance in our travels.
Thankfully, I didn't need to use it. I did call to ask the CSR some questions about travel in Peru. She was helpful, but basically did the same thing I was able to do, which is use the internet to find answers.
