The modifications related to her policy were received by our APRIL team the afternoon of 10/29 and, given the weekend in-between, new policy documents were issued within 72 business hours.
Seemed to take a long time but they did have currency exchange issues to contend with.
Everything was fine except for the fact that the airline lost my baggage and it was delayed more than 24 hours. Items were taken from my luggage. Which resulted in me having to make a claim. My attempt to reach April's 24 hour customer service on Christmas Day was a joke. Line dropped when CSR was on the line - after holding for about 5 minutes. I called back TWICE, was on hold about 15 minutes each time and then received a fast, busy signal before the line disconnected! NOT 24 hour service! We were stranded in Houston and had to handle EVERYTHING on our own. I even sent an email to them to make them aware of our upcoming claim. Never received a reply, so I called again a few days later to file our claim. We'll see how this goes!

My wife and I were on a Viking River Cruise when the November 13 terrorist attacks occurred in Paris -- which was our next destination after concluding the cruise, and for which we had purchased an inclusive policy with April through Squaremouth. We contacted them both after the attacks information reached us and asked about coverage if we should choose to terminate our trip at that point.
Both April and Squaremouth were very quick to respond to our questions; both were very thorough in reassuring us that they stood ready to help -- with any needs we might have as a result of the attacks and of our subsequent (possible) cancellation of the remaining portions of our trip. All parties concerned left us with no questions whatever about their willingness to support and provide whatever help might be needed, regardless of our decision.
Their firmness and clarity gave us the necessary viewpoint from which to take the steps to continue our trip to Paris -- which, ultimately, became one of the best trip experiences we have ever had. The people of Paris left no doubt in our mind of their appreciation and support of our taking the chance to come to Paris in spite of the terrorists. We never once regretted the decision; our daughter's being able to spend some time with us in our rented apartment and to participate in Paris, as it recovered from the attempts of the terrorists to disrupt normal activities, became a family experience that will remain in our memories forever. Thanks to everyone at April and Squaremouth who extended themselves to cover our every possible need in a time of uncertainty.

We were not given any information concerning the details of the different insurances. The details would have determined which insurance we purchased. We had to make several phone calls to try to understand exactly what coverage we had purchased.
We felt this inadequacy really affected our choices.
On a positive note, when we did call, the ladies were very patient and polite.
