April Travel Protection is dragging their heels in paying medical bills and trip interruption claims. They keep saying it is still under review, but has been over 2 months.
although it took several week to process the claim I can honestly say I was impressed with the process . I submitted documentation requested once with the relevant claim form and lo and behold several checks arrived a few weeks later with no queries and settlement for what I requested in full.

I submitted a claim for delayed baggage to APRIL on and have yet to hear from them! Not even an acknowledgement that they are working on my claim!
As such, I am only giving a 4* rating for now. In the event they settle my claim correctly, I will change my rating to 5*; otherwise, I will drop my rating to NO or 1* !
Everything was quick, easy, and professional.
Had a little trouble getting a quote and had to call several times but once I received the quote everything proceeded smoothly.
Had no claims on my past two trips but the one before had problems with lost luggage (4 days) and trip delay of 14 hours. April Insurance promptly reimbursed me for my expenses.
I will continue using them for travel insurance as their prices are fair and they provide the type of travel insurance I need.
The agency was prompt in providing claim form as soon as I called in to initiate the claim.
Unsure yet how they will process the trip cancellation for any reason claim.
Our luggage did not make the connection from our transfer in Rome to our final destination in Milan. Since our arrival was early evening we knew we'd be without our suitcases until the next day at the very least. We kept track of all our purchases and communications with the airline. Once we got home I contacted April and got the claim process rolling. The only glitch was their getting our email address wrong, so the attachments they sent were delayed initially. Once everything was submitted and follow up requests supplied, we were paid within 30 days.
