Before Trip
We obtained everything online and didn't need to contact prior to departure.

During Trip
This policy contained everything we needed; however, and fortunately we did not require customer service nor will we be making a claim.

During Trip
I did not need to use any insurance services during my trip. BUT I was able to throughly enjoy myself because I knew that I was covered if an emergency arose.

Claim Process
The reason this claim took so long is that we needed to know the results of our Medex claim first.

As with any insurance company or HMO they will find a way to deny your claim through some section or sub paragraph in the policy of which you dont get a copy of.

Since my trip was in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, no communication would have been possible during the trip -- with the exception of access to a Satellite Phone in case of an emergency. Luckily, this was not necessary

Claim Process
Prior to initiation of the trip I nearly had to cancel due to a family emergency. The staff was very helpful when I first called to report on the situation; and when, in the end, I was able to travel I was assured that my coverage was still in effect.
