I had broken bones by the ankle area on May 28 resulted from a fall at a small resort town in Vietnam. I was required to get surgery . For safety reason we flew home 2 days earlier for the surgery in the state . Now I have some medical deductibles and the insurance declined to cover them. The medical deductible from the surgery at home is consider not qualified. Since the expenses resulted from the accident happened during the trip , why I can not be covered.
I added 3 days to my trip and incurred no extra charge. Thanks. As usual, I had no need to file a claim, which is always my aim, but I am secure in the knowledge that coverage is there should I need it.
signing up with ITravelinsured was easy and representative was very helpful in choosing the correct policy for our situation. My husband has medical issues and we wanted a policy that had pre-existing coverage. Working with Square Mouth for the second time for travel insurance was a pleasure just as the first time was. Fortunately we didn't need the insurance, but knew we had a good policy just in case. Yes I would use SquareMouth for travel insurance again and recommend it to a friend or family member.
Easy to compare policies to find what I needed.
We had to cancel the trip because my wife was hospitalized. I submitted the claim and documentation online. In three weeks I got a letter via USPS that the claim was approved and the check would be sent in 10 - 15 days.
I purchased travel insurance that included the hotel cost to travel from Texas to Florida to catch a cruise there. The total insured amount was the non-refundable portion of the the cruise and the cost of the hotels to stay at to get there and back, plus our gas. We were already in Florida when the cruise cancelled for damage to the Oasis ship, so we wasted a trip to Florida and back. We believed our travel insurance would help reimburse us for the cost of our travel expenses, but it was denied since RCL reimbursed us for the cruise? They would not transfer the policy to another cruise. We'll look elsewhere for our travel insurance.
I had a question for iTravelInsured b/c of a multi-hour delay in our outbound flight. The customer service rep answered my questions and was very helpful.
Easy comparisons and thorough information help tremendously in making selection of insurer.
I was set to travel 5/16. I was diagnosed with leukemia 3/13. I believe I sent the claim form within two weeks of being diagnosed. Long before the scheduled departure. I had to follow up 3 times with iTravel and resend documentation that I am 100% sure was included with the original claim. Now they have requested my medical records from the hospital even though the physician completed the claim while I was still in the hospital. I really feel this company is doing every thing they can to make me jump through unnecessary hoops to get the claim approved. I will NEVER use iTravel again, nor will the 5 couples that also bought the insurance. Fortunately they were able to travel. We will all most likely use the insurance that the travel company offered next time.
We sent in our claim after being told we were covered over the phone in March, and have yet to receive a response or the reimbursement. It is now June. I am not impressed and at this point would advise against purchasing any policy from this company. The service is beyond abysmal.
