IMG customers have noted that the customer service is attentive both before and during their trips, especially when they need to modify their policies. Some customers have experienced difficulties with the online claims portal and uploading documents. However, IMG has recently improved its claims process to make it more efficient and transparent for customers.
Not impressed with IMG. I know I made an error but the same policy I had in June for $750 was $1263 in November. Yes it was two days longer trip but a $500 increase was absurd. Customer service was less than helpful. Will not buy from IMG again.
Additionally, in my June trip we contacted them for medical assistance around 8 am and were told we had to call back when someone could actually advise. Not really helpful.
So far, the process has been very easy.
When our return flight was cancelled and rescheduled, we had to make additional hotel plans. I did reach out to IMG to see if we needed to clear anything through you, but were told we should just make our own reservations and then submit. The agent did offer to make suggestions, but we did not need that, as we'd already found a place to stay.
All is well so far...just need to submit our claim for the delayed flight.

Our cruise on the Scenic Eclipse was canceled by the cruise company due to propulsion issues. As soon as we receive notice that the cruise was canceled, I contacted IMG global. I explained to them that the cruise company canceled the cruise. Although cancellation of the policy was beyond their cancellation deadline, that due to extenuating circumstances, I was requesting a refund of the $3722 fee. The company did not refund the fee. They did offer a credit of the amount that could be used within a year. This was unacceptable as we do not have any plans to travel during this period. It is hard for me to understand a company as large as IMGglobal was not more understanding. It is certainly not a company we consider working Norwood we recommend them to other travelers.
Easy to send paperwork over websites.
Although the claim was approved, i still have not received payment. They said it would take 10 business days for the escalation desk to respond, and up to an additional 30 days to run a trace on the electronic payment.
The first agent I spoke with gave me wrong information regarding pre-existing condition waiver. This caused me to call other companies. When I called a second time and asked for a supervisor I got the correct information. I wasted hours of my time die to the inaccurate information I had been given.
I am awaiting billing information to be able to provide you with the necessary documentation.

I needed to make a change to the travel insurance. So, I went to the Squaremouth website to see if I could make the change there. The answer to this is no. Changes cannot be made online per the Squremouth website. I had to call IMG directly as Squaremouth did not offer this service either.
I needed to change the return date of my trip. I had initially provided the wrong return date. So, following the instructions from the Squaremouth website, I called IMG. I was impressed that the call was immediately answered by a real person. The telephone agent I spoke with was very polite and changed the return date on my policy very quickly and emailed me a confirmation. I then checked online to see if the changes had shown up on the policy and the change in return date did show up online.
I did not need to make any claims. So, I cannot comment on how this was handled. I just wish that Squaremouth who is a middleman playing the role as broker for the insurance would have assisted with this other thant tell me to call IMG.
Some of the requirements were a little over the top. I had to pay the doctor in Italy with Euros. IMG asked how I got the euros and they wanted to see my withdrawals and/or receipts for the euros. Fortunately, they did pay me back.
