Purchasing travel insurance was a real godsend. I was hoping not to need it, but thanks to the unpredictable weather, my flight was delayed and then I was rerouted to a different airport which created Ann added expense and caused me to lose the original travel accommodations.
The protection / coverage value per $ was the best. It remains to be seen how well the claim process goes. Ask me again in 4 weeks. The initial contact with the 24-hour assistance program was a bust.

I really appreciated the regular email contact asking me if I was ready to file my claim. I hate paperwork, so was initially put off by a multi-page form. But, the reminders prodded me into reading the form (finally) and I realized it wasn't so bad.
I'm glad I purchased insurance. I have never before had a travel experience that would have qualified for an insurance claim - so it was a bit of "gamble" this time.
My claim is pending. I am just two weeks back from the four-month trip and have much paperwork to do, to catch up with. Also, my travel insurance papers are in my largest piece of luggage and that has not yet arrived. It was delayed by DHL, traveling from Germany to London, and did nor arrive in time for me to take it with me on my British Airways flight back to Colorado.
Meantime, I notified you by mail (my earlier attempts at email connection having been unanswered) that i would be making a claim for a medical expense that occurred while in Germany. The reply to this, from from B-Hathaway, said there was no hurry in making the claim (I think it said I had a year to do so). As I said above, this pending.
Thank you

Berkshire Hathaway is an excellent and economical option for health insurance. The coverage is very decent. I also had an incident where my Grandmother passed away during my travels through Vietnam. I was able to talk to an agent even after scheduled work hours. I didn't end up filing a claim, but the representative was very supportive and informative. I will definitely travel with them again.
I am STILL WAITING ON A CALL FROM MY CASE MANAGER!
They claim to have 24/365 customer service they don't I call them there voice mail said there open 7to7 m-f
There bulshit artists. I want a refund.
Best
They paid my claim within two weeks
I felt secure but once I needed to file a claim they didn't want to tell what documents I would need until after i left the doctors office which meant I would have to return to get the paperwork and also the amount of documents needed was outrageous especially for some small claim wouldn't even be worth claiming it
I sent in my claim and no one ever responded from Berkshire ZERO response at all NOTHING
The time for my claim is complete and I sent in all paperwork worth over 2,000 dollars but never heard back What a taste of fake travel insurance. I will never recommend Squaremouth or Berkshire to my friends or patients again
