We had to cancel a trip due to Medical issues and should have been reimbursed 100% according to our understanding. To date we have received no refund.

A comprehensive, well priced policy that gave us peace of mind as we traveled.
We studied what we needed in a policy and were able to select from several options.
Communications with the company were excellent.

Used squaremouth to purchase a travel policy with john hancock and had to cancel trip due to medical issue. Filed claim and after 6 months finally got check. They always needed more information and never contacted me but rather went to my travel agent and when they got the information they misplaced some of it. Don't know if it was john hancock or squaremouth but will never purchase again through squaremouth again. Total waste of time and money.
I would not recommend your company. I filed a claim in Sep Five weeks after I filed my claim, I was ember and your agents kept losing the papers that I both faxed and sent by mail. Five weeks after I filed all of the requested papers, I was told that they needed an Operation report and wanted to know the Doctors Fax or e-mail number, both of which were on the original form that the doctor filled out and included in the original package. No one contacted the doctor. I personally made a special trip and secured the report and faxed it to your company. That report was never forwarded to the person who requested it even though I had it addressed to them. I had to re-fax the report .
For your information, their is no place on the forms sent to me requesting an operation report. Under the HEPA laws, only the patient can authorize release of that information. That request was never forthcoming from your company. On October 24th, I received an e-mail from Lisa McCartney, stating that my claim was reviewed and approved. She clearly stated that a check for $6500 would be sent to my account within 3-5 days. When it did not arrive, I contacted Squaremouth and they got involved. They were told that the check would be sent out immediately. It was not. It was not until I spoke to the Arizona Insurance Commissioner that it was sent out.
Claim just filed
I mailed my claim documents on 11/15/19 - awaiting a confirmation or receipt of mailing. My policy reads from Squaremouth but all documents were sent to ITravelInsured - hope this.is correct. Noted a misspelling on my name - I obviously made a typo “Richard” should be Richard.
We had to cancel our trip because of my wife's surgery. Cancellation was done about 30 days before we were to depart. I filed our claim to recover the cost of our trip less the amount we were refunded ty the cruise company. Supporting documentation was submitted with the claim. I originally faxed the material to iTravelinsured but they said not all of it came through. I then immediately mailed all the material to them but they did not match up the mailed material with the claim until I spoke with them on the phone, although it has not been possible to speak with the person handling the claim per iTravelinsured policy. My travel agent has also emailed confirming information to iTravelinsured. It has been over a month since I filed our claim. I believe we are getting the run around from iTravelinsured and and I am thinking I may file a complaint with the Indiana Insurance Department.

My last contact with iTravelInsured was to increase my coverage of our extended trip. I called the wrong department but, was directed to call another department that pleasantly and professionally handled the change.
