IMG customers have noted that the customer service is attentive both before and during their trips, especially when they need to modify their policies. Some customers have experienced difficulties with the online claims portal and uploading documents. However, IMG has recently improved its claims process to make it more efficient and transparent for customers.
Did not have to use the policy so we have no information to provide. Like life insurance policies, you win if you don't require assistance from your travel insurer.
We had a very unusual situation and we are pleased the insurer came to understand the issue and satisfied the matter.

They were great!
I wasn't able to even file a claim because the amount of information they require is next to impossible to provide. When we were flying from the West Coast to our home in NC, our infant son because quite ill. At our connection city, he was taken by ambulance to the Children's Hospital where he was admitted and stayed for 8 days. All we are trying to do it get our hotel and uber/lyft costs covered, but the insurance company wants copies of everything and anything, related to the entire 3 week plus trip. They want signed statements from physicians at the out of state hospital (for example, they want to the name and address of the treating physician--he had at least six!), they want all travel costs with itemized receipts and credit card statements even if they had nothing to do with the delay, not to mention a copy of our son's birth certificate. The list goes on and on. All this for a measly $1000 refund because that's the maximum our policy allows. I have used travel insurance before and have never needed to provide this degree of information. I will never use this company again and recommend you strongly consider whether you should. It feels like they ask for so much information in hopes that you will give up and not submit the claim.

My wife and I purchased separate policies. We filed pre-trip claims as a result of a medical emergency with my Wife's daughter. We contacted the company following no response after what we thought was a reasonable period of time, and were told that claims processing was delayed due to a heavy workload. We were subsequently told that my wife's claim was being processed, but that there was no record of receipt of my claim. After a reminder that our claims were filed together, my claim was discovered in the file with my wife's claim and we were advised that processing of my claim would be expedited. Both claims were approved for the full amount of the claims and benefit checks were received within a short period of time thereafter. We are sincerely appreciative of the full-amount approval, and but for the above-cited circumstances, I would have entered a "Yes" response to the claim process satisfaction question and a 5-star rating for the satisfaction level.
This is a terrible company, it should be called ITravelUNinsured. I made a trivial claim for very minor expenses incurred due to a cancelled flight and CLEARLY covered in my policy. Next, I will go to the better business bureau. I am TOTALLY disgusted that I have bought travel insurance for YEARS and the one time I go to use it I can't even get reimbursed for a covered expense of a value that is less than what I paid for the policy. I suspect Squaremouth is a front for a crooked enterprise that gets kick-back's by directing people to fly-by-night insurance brokers.
I have called ITravelInsured AND squaremouth and sent my supporting documents twice- by email AND by snail mail, to ITravelInsured AND in frustration to the squaremouth complaint dept. Regardless, I keep getting letters from ITravelInsured saying that I need to send my documents. I called ITravelInsured and was told they have my documents and then I receive such a letter again. I called squaremouth for help and got some smug reply that I should call itravel instead of squaremouth, in spite of having explained that I have done this. I received ZERO HELP from Squaremouth. My experience with itravel and with squaremouth has been abysmal.
The phone numbers given on the downloaded "wallet" card were not correct. That was a problem for us trying to call the US from Slovakia. Finally found another number but it failed to connect...went straight to recorded music for quite some time. Finally answered when called that number again at a later time...A very frustrating experience trying to reach iinsurance. Just filled the claim so that feedback will have to wait.
I found the claim for a bit confusing. Compiling all the necessary documentation was time consuming. I had to go back to the travel provider because the documentation wasn't exactly what iTravelInsured wanted. My claim was delayed because no one contacted me that the doctor's office had a charge for copies of the medical record. Customer support was very helpful. They made it a satisfactory experience.
