IMG customers have noted that the customer service is attentive both before and during their trips, especially when they need to modify their policies. Some customers have experienced difficulties with the online claims portal and uploading documents. However, IMG has recently improved its claims process to make it more efficient and transparent for customers.
Given some complexities in my trip, I quickly realized that I had not purchased the most appropriate travel insurance policy. The customer service representative helped me cancel and re-buy immediately without incurring any charges. I would use iTRavelInsured again as a result.
I always take travel insurance.......look over policy with great anticipation that we will never need to use it. My husband had a bad fall and required ER care. Upon our return, I called the insurance company. I have since mailed the Medical Claim. However, we are still missing my husband's luggage upon our return on July 25, 2018. Today is August 1st and American Airlines has been in contact with us since we notified them at PHL airport on July 25th regarding our missing suitcase. Our policy states: Baggage/Personal Effects: $750 and Baggage Delay: $150. My husband travels with just one suitcase and he is missing everything from his dress clothing (we attended the barmitzvah of our grandson in Israel) to underwear, pants, shirts, deodorant to everything else he needed during our 17+ days away from our residence. I was quite surprised when I Travel Insure told me that there is no coverage for missing/lost luggage on the return home. "They only cover baggage on the beginning of the trip". If I had known that, I cerainly would have avoided purchasing this $273 policy. I will say that the insurance representatives were quick, and responded immediately about our questions about the medical claim. I might add (again) that it seems impossible that there is no coverage on the return trip for luggage. I have looked over the policy and do not see any fine print about this exclusion.
I felt safe knowing I had iTeavelInsured while backpacking through Vietnam.
I dislike that I couldn't get a policy to cover preexisting conditions if I'd already completely paid for my trip.
My 1st time purchasing trip insurance. Fairly straightforward process online. Did call to verify some coverages as the plan I wanted to purchase was available then not available on the day I decided to purchase. Quick call and the rep advised me it will likely be added back in later same day and it was. Easy peasy.
As always the process, price and service was superb! No problem have used Squaremouth for years had to file one claim but even then the process was painless and professional. I wouldn't use anyone else!
I never received the direct confirmation of coverage. Or the full policy. From iTravel, despite several requests. I did receive the summary from Squaremouth.

I have purchased insurance for 2 different trips to Europe through SquareMouth. I have been satisfied with the purchase process and would use it again for a future trip. I have one suggestion for improvement to the general travel insurance product. It seems geared to trips like cruises or tours or resorts that are all inclusive. I plan my own trips and make air, train, and lodging reservations during the preceding six months. Your customer service people (and other travel insurance companies) have been helpful in answering my questions. I continue to find it difficult to determine what amounts to add to trip amounts and when to add them. The language in the policies seems to say that only pre-paid non-refundable amounts are reimbursable. This makes it confusing for lodging costs - so many of them have a cancellation fee IF cancelled at varying points. BUT, there is no prepayment; I provide a credit card number and the cancellation fee will be charged if I cancel. When you make your own arrangements there are a number of oddities in trying to make decisions. SquareMouth and Travel Ins Companies could improve their descriptions and directions. I do my best and I buy the insurance mostly for the Emergency Medical Insurance - but the trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage is a nice addition. I have had wonderful trips with no need to make any claims, so I have no idea if I have made adequate decisions.
Found website easy to navigate and my questions were answered thoroughly when using “chat”.
Have used “Squaremouth” in past and will definitely use in future.

Because our total expenses were difficult to estimate when we first began booking our trip, we opted to purchase travel insurance for the know amounts of expenses and then to work with iTravelInsured to add more coverage when other expenses became known. Should have been a simple, easy process, but iTravelInsured was not responsive to emails; then, after telephone contact, the company did not provide additional information for another two weeks. After I provided all the requested information (twice, since the company seemed to need different information depending on the representative I reached that day on the phone), the quote for the additional coverage resulted in a total quote (amount already paid plus quoted addition) which was actually higher than the total for a new policy through SquareMouth. Eventually, I switched coverage to a cheaper product with iTravelInsured, cancelling the old policy. That process actually went quite smoothly.
