Reasonable price, well worth the peace of mind having it. Will recomend to all my friends that have trips coming up.
Very straight-forward and simple to deal with.
I called twice to get clarification on possible need for filling a claim. Both times the agents were so very helpful. They took their time to listen and give great insight as to how to handle my situation. Though I did not need to file a claim, their answers helped!
Still working on claim form.
I needed to speak with a representative re: paying in advance for a tour which, if bad weather caused the provider to cancel & rebook the outing, would Squaremouth reimburse my lost deposit as I would not be able to be rescheduled due to other plans. Squaremouth said "NO" to being reimbursed IF the tour provider offered to reschedule.
Rescheduling a cancelled tour was part of the policy statement of the tour company so I would therefore have been OUT of any reimbursement. $1,000 deposit for this tour is a lot of $ to lose so it was unfortunate that we could not do a long hoped for activity/tour due to both Squaremouth policy & the tour company policy.
It was good to hear from Squaremouth representative about this so I did not lose $.
When comparing various travel insurances side by side on Squaremouth I picked this one because it said “primary” on the medical payments column. I later called them to check how this “primary” payment I’ll work in case of an emergency overseas and was told this was not the case, they will pay after other insurance or myself has made payments. I felt cheated but did not cancel the policy as all others stated “secondary” which was stated by the other travel policies compared. Luckily all went well and we had no reason to file a claim. Curious to know the difference between the advertised “primary” and “secondary” payments for medical charges.
I made a mistake and put in the expected total cost of the trip when I made my first (and only) payment. Later when additional people joined the tour, that brought the cost down. iTravelinsured does not recalculate and return extra money. So, I overpaid for coverage.
Initially it was hard to get through on the phone, but once connected the agent was very helpful. We were advised to go ahead and submit the part of our claim that we had documentation for. Waiting on further documentation from Delta Airlines. So far so good.
I had broken bones by the ankle area on May 28 resulted from a fall at a small resort town in Vietnam. I was required to get surgery . For safety reason we flew home 2 days earlier for the surgery in the state . Now I have some medical deductibles and the insurance declined to cover them. The medical deductible from the surgery at home is consider not qualified. Since the expenses resulted from the accident happened during the trip , why I can not be covered.
I added 3 days to my trip and incurred no extra charge. Thanks. As usual, I had no need to file a claim, which is always my aim, but I am secure in the knowledge that coverage is there should I need it.
