Acquiring the policy was easy. Did not really get to test the product because there was not a reason to try and make a claim. The proof of a good policy would be when it was tested under critical conditions. My trip went smoothly without need to actually call for assistance or benefits.

I liked the ease of using the site, affordable plan options, along with the ability to compare various plans side by side. Also, the obvious peace of mind knowing we are covered in the event of an unexpected cancellation for a variety of reasons.

Insurance is always a double edged sword - but better to have it than not. I did get stung by a Scorpion and what crossed through my mind at the time, wow good thing I have insurance in case they have to fly me out of here to the hospital somewhere. I was fine,no need for medical assistance and the Scorpion, is dead!
I was unable to complete my trip to Mexico on 4 June 2014 due to being hospitalized in Cuenca, Ecuador, just days before I even left home. Thanks to kind assistance of Customer Service Dept. of www.itravelinsured.com, I was shown how to file a claim for trip cancellation.

Overall, I was very satisfied so far with our IMG insurance experience. Until the outcome of my claim, I can't give my final review. My only comment of note so far is that I contacted IMG when on my trip late on a Saturday to notify them of my medical issue and seeking pre-authorization for treatment and got the impression that the people who handle pre-authorizations are not available during the weekend. So all the person I spoke to was able to do was make note of my call. I sought pre-authorization later when I was in a position to do so. It would be helpful to be somewhat better informed about the notification/pre-authorization procedure when one is in the unfortunate position of having to contact IMG during the weekend.
Easy to purchase. Made me feel more safe on my trip as my father is terminally ill.
