Claim process was a little slow and they kept asking for information already sent to them. They do not look at other categories for the claim may fit into. Intimately, the claims were paid to my satisfaction although it took may email iterations.
I called IMG to increase the amount covered on my policy. The procedure was quick and easy. I do find the IMG web site somewhat difficult to navigate.
I put in a claim to IMG for emergency dental plus one night accommodation fee lost because of the dental. This was JUNE 22. I followed up through July sending the paperwork a few times. I received a couple emails saying they’re couldn’t open the attachment.. I resent the same attachment to myself and to IMG and followed up with calls. I was told it was received. I then randomly got an email saying the paperwork was not received. I resent and called again. August 15 I was assured all was in process. Still no email confirmation. Today AUG 22 I called again and was eventually told it was denied as the dental is only for accidents to your teeth.. not for an abscess. This is in the, very, small print of the policy!
I will NEVER use IMG again. Wasted time, frustrating process, unclear coverage. Make sure you read the policy with a magnifying glass!!!

The only issues we had were related to phone contact when we had to reach IMG 24-hour assistance from Europe.
First, we had wait a LONG time to actually get through to someone!
Second, we had to use our daughter's phone because we only had data service. It would have been extremely helpful to have had an option for reaching IMG via WhatsApp, since that app only requires data service for text, voice, or video. Please consider adding that that capability in the future.
So far, so good. Had "simple" claims for medical treatment on board the ship. Also had a more complex claim for delay due to airline incompetence. All I know at the moment is that claims were accepted for processing.
We used IMG as our friend was seriously hurt on an international trip. Her experience with the claims and refunds of her expenses were outstanding. Due to her experience, we opted to forgo our usual insurance carrier and compare the various companies on your site.
Very pleased with the comparison and value for our money which was better than the cruise company's offer for insurance.

I bought the insurance because it was required. I thought is was kind of expensive, so next time I may look for cheaper insurance. But the customer service was good.

I use Squaremouth all the time to purchase travel insurance. However, I will NEVER choose IMG due to the difficulty of the claims process when I did have to file a claim. They are extremely difficult to deal with and require documentation that is impossible to obtain. They repeatedly ask for the same documentation (I sent some documents 3+ times).
