I had read previous reviews that complained about having to submit so much documentation, but I felt everything requested was logical & necessary for substantiating the claim. I will reaffirm, it is very important to make sure all documentation is obtained at the time of the incident or soon after.

Once I filled out the claim form, and attached all documentation exactly as requested, my claim was processed and completed within two weeks. Full payment was received and I am extremely happy. Complaints of having to submit additional documents (or resend) to me is totally unfounded (most likely User error). I submitted the 5 requested documents the first time, it was no problem.
I will definitely use Squaremouth and the insurance they recommend again!

First, I'd like to say, I write VERY FEW reviews. Maybe 1 a year.
I purchased the Tin Leg Gold plan Travel Insurance through Square Mouth. Tin Leg delayed the process so badly that I have no doubt it is a tactic that people will throw in the towel. Was HORRIBLE!
I filed my claim on May 19th, after much promising, more info needed, delayed responses, inaccuracies, I have finally got approved for a FRACTION of what was due, on June 27th. I was only reimbursed for about what I paid for the insurance.
No meal, no toiletries, etc. Was HORRIBLE. BEWARE.

Cancelled the policy due to a death in thefamily several days before departure. No refund, which was disappointing.

It has been a challenge. Their most recent request is official documentation of the date that I cancelled my trip due to surgery. I am working on getting this document to them.

    Tin Leg policy: Gold

Had to cancel trip due to medical issue. To process my claim, Tin Leg required thorough documentation of my costs and my medical records, which is only fair. But once I provided that, my claim was processed without hassle and paid in full. Tin Leg was prompt and fair in all my interactions with them, and I am fully satisfied with my experience.

The end result of being reimbursed for my flight cancelation was rewarding. HOWEVER....without going into a LOT of detail my recommendation for your improvement would be to have a very complete and detailed section on your website to inform potential customers what is going to be needed if a claim is going to be made. We are seasoned travelers and keep detailed information about our trips but the amount of information that you required was over the moon! Would be happy to talk to someone with details but prefer not to write a long story in this box.

    Tin Leg policy: Gold

This policy that I purchased through you Square Mouth wasn’t worth the paper it was printed on. First, do me a favor and watch an old movie called “The Rainmaker” and you’ll understand what happened when dealing with Falck Global Assistance and Tin Leg medical team it was an abomination. We arrived in Paris, France the morning of May 28th, 2025 the day our policy took effect. At approximately 5:20 PM on May 28th, 2025 my wife tripped over a cobblestone, fell and couldn’t walk or move her leg. She was with our sister in law, April. My brother, John, and I were approximately a ten minute walking distance away when April called John and we immediately walked to where Sandra was on the ground. Someone in the crowd had called 911 and the Cochin Paris Fire Department was already on scene and transported her to Cochin Hospital Paris, France emergency room where they took X-rays and said it was a broken Left femur. Dr. Ruterana operated on Sandra the next day and repaired the fractured left femur, it took 70 staples to close the incision. I called the Emergency Assistance number on my Tin Leg policy after the surgery on May 29th, 2025 and that began what ended up being a horrific experience for my wife and me!
Dr. Ruterana in his post operation notes stated, “ No weight bearing for 3 months”. Not one person from Falck or Tin Leg’s medical team provided any help and refused through their way of not providing an emergency medically necessary evacuation for my wife Sandra. What a sham this entire policy is and you Square Mouth should be ashamed to be offering it to anybody.
I’m tired of dealing with Falck and Tin Leg, they weren’t going to provide a $120,000 medical evacuation for us, even though our policy has a $500,000 medical evacuation and repatriation rider that was included in this policy. Be forewarned that this isn’t the policy we thought we were buying, I had to do all of the leg work and fly my wife home with a fractured left leg femur on a commercial jet. In retrospect I should have purchased the Medjet policy because of their 5 star rating but I went with what I thought was a reputable company, lesson learned.

If there was a zero for rating the claims process Tin Leg would get it. Tin Leg’s claims team has manipulated their interpretation of trip interruption to suit their final decision on what I am owed and without even a heads-up have determined a final number to settle this claim. I asked for help with your Zero Complaint team, spoke to Dawn Watry on June 23rd and was told by her that since I had a DOI case against Tin Leg she couldn’t speak to me. This has been an abomination since my wife fell and fractured her left leg femur on May 28th, 2025 the day the policy took effect. From Sebastian of Falck Global Assistance to David of Tin Leg Claims team to Dawn of Square Mouth there was a total breakdown of helping a client who purchased this policy never expecting to use it but hoping it would cover what it’s policy claimed it would. You, your company, Tin Leg and Falck all failed my wife and me no one was ever there to help us in Paris, France. Falck spoke of an advocate but neither me or my wife ever saw them. My wife languished in Cochin Hospital for 9 days and we were in our own even though I had a $1924.00 policy from Square Mouth that wasn’t worth the paper it was printed on. Shameful what we experienced.
