I called Tin Leg prior to my trip to confirm coverage. The phone response time was good. The company rep was courteous, knowledgeable and responsive to my questions about the policy and my request for policy documents. The single sheet policy summary was well laid out, easy to read & informative.
Customer service was very good, I called before my travels to get some kind of ID card for the insurance. They were very helpful and sent it to me.
I did not have any claims, consequently I cannot evaluate their claim service.
Just happy we were able to get insurance at a reasonable price as you always want to be insured especially when out of the country
We are not able to review this policy until we have filed the claim for a delayed flight. Then we will be able to review how well the policy for the ease of reimbursement. We have to file a claim for an extra hotel room and food, and a cancellation without reimbursement of a different hotel room, due to the delayed flight. We also had several items stolen from our backpack that we did not realize until it was too late to file a claim with the police in that jurisdiction. Thanks.

The policy met our needs. It was a comfort knowing we were covered and protected during our three week trip.
I did bot need to file a claim. However, I did interact a few times before the trip and was treated very professionally with no problems at all
Home was burglarized and came home early. Luckily, our trip plans were for 11 days and the burglary occurred within 10 days of departure (read the fine print). A claim for my husband and I was submitted 4 months ago. Tin Leg did not begin considering the claim until I called to check the status 2 1/2 months ago (they are supposed to pay quicker than that). My husband received a check 1 month ago with a deduction. Since then, I have been calling multiple times a week for my check and to dispute the deduction. Have heard such excuses as adjustor's absence is due to mother's cancer, Tin Leg did not receive claim for all services (poor excuse since I e-mailed my initial claim), claim adjustor was not responding to e-mails, the claim is ready to be released 2 weeks ago-still not released yet. They use the adjustor's lack of response as an excuse to not pay the claim and will not let me talk to the adjustor directly. I still have not received my check. When I bought the policy, I hoped that Tin Leg would be good purchase since it is affiliated with Square Mouth. However, I have received such a runaround I would not recommend Tin Leg.

It took 12 days for them to respond to me that they received my filled out forms and receipts.
I sent them in on tuesday, June 22. I think they seem less responsive than Square Mouth, but we will see.
I have to purchase another travel policy soon and I love squaremouth, but am reluctant to purchase tin leg until I see the outcome to our claim. we were mostly sorry we couldn't go on our trip because of an emergency health problem

They added a day in counting the days for the time sensitive benefits and added a day before the policy started.
