website was easy to use. Called one time to ask a question and that was easy. Didn't file a claim so unable to respond re: how it goes when insurance is ACTUALLY needed.
Purchasing the travel insurance was easy to do on-line. When we experienced problems on our trip in Europe, we notified the travel insurance number immediately and supposedly the issue was noted on our file. When we returned home, I contacted the travel insurance company to figure out how to file a claim for travel services not rendered. I was most disappointed by the female rep who was abrupt, not very helpful, did not offer any explanation of the claim process and told me I would have to get a refund from the carrier who failed to provide the service we had paid for....problem was the travel company had gone backrupt. She did email the claim the claim forms.
Travel Insured claim service was awesome! My trip was cancelled when the tour operator cancelled the tour because there were not enough participants. I was able to file a claim for my non-refundable airfare. The claim was processed extremely quickly, with no drama or arguments. This is the first time I have ever had to file a claim in 14 years of carrying travel insurance. As a side note, my traveling companion had a different travel insurance company and they only refunded half the value of his ticket.
I did not have issues with my trip so I will not be filing a claim so it is difficult comment on how it would have been to work with Customer Service during that process. The compare tool on Squaremouth is very helpful when searching for a policy to cover your needs. I will use this site again and would recommend this site. I did have questions before purchasing a policy and used your on-line chat. The response was within a few minutes unlike another site I also did research on. Great service.
Holland America cancelled the cruise due to mechanical difficulty with the ship, but they reimbursed all. My dealings with Travel Insured before the scheduled trip and after the cancellation was seamless. Larry in customer service was especially helpful.
I contacted squaremouth prior to my vacation to obtain a copy of the policy which I couldn't find. It was sent and that was my only contact.
There was a time when I was concerned I might miss my flight because Amtrak was running so late but that didn't occur and I never had any need to file a claim.

The trip that we bought the insurance for was canceled by the company providing the trip. Travel Insured International refunded the cost of the insurance less $8 for handling fees. I was very pleased by this and thought this company was great. I will book through Squaremouth and this company again as the service and personal were great.

Fairly good experience. I appreciated the fact that I was able to chat online with customer service, who was very helpful. The website did not make it clear how I could select medical coverage only, so that's the reason for the 4 stars rather than 5.
