I had to cancel my trip due to a family member illness. The process and what I needed to file claim was well explained on website. I received my refund in a timely fashion.

I could n't travel as I was diagnosed with a health issue that needed immediate surgery. The travel insurance refunded the claimed amount after the necessary paperwork was returned to them

I am very disappointed in Squaremouth. I was forced to cancel my trip to Sweden due to a health issue. I submitted all the required documentation required including the policy of the airline to not return the cost of the flight unless the airline was at fault. I submitted the claim on June9, 2014. To date I have not gotten a refund of the $3,225.94.

It was very easy to purchase the policy and clearly explained.
I always purchase travel insurance when cruising or flying.
I've seen too many travelers who did not and wished they had taken the time to purchase insurance.

T.I.I. was OK, just. It took repeated calls to your representative to get them to --finally-- send out the actual printed copy of the policy, as opposed to messages and e-mails telling me to 'print it from the e-mail confirmation.' Otherwise, the policy was comprehensive and gave me much relief and reassurance as I contemplated our trip to Europe and S. Africa.

i didn't travel because there were terrorist attacks taking place where i was going. i filed a claim for the charges the travel agent and airlines were charging me and nothing was covered. i'll never buy travel insurance from squaremouth or travel insured again! what a joke!

Great service when needed.

I was a bit troubled that cancellation did not include failure to get a Visa, since the Visa process with Iran is tricky for Americans. If it was clear that 'cancel for any reason' policy was needed and that it had to be applied for within short timeframe of down payment for trip, it would have made me less anxious. It turned out okay, since Visa came through.
