  • Travel Insured International policy: Worldwide Trip Protector

    Before Trip
I did deal with several reps because I added covererage after my initial application. Most reps were helpful. I did speak to one when I realized that I needed to adjust the amounts per person that was rather impatient and acted as if I were really annoying her. Most were fine.

    During Trip
I just had to call to ask about the process and was treated fine. I was told not to worry about the cost until we get home and just take care of what we need to do.

    Claim Process
I can't rate this yet. We had a death and had to interrupt our trip. I am waiting to get the death certificate before I can file. I would like the opportunity to follow up on this part after the case is closed.

Travel Insured International policy: Trip Protector Lite Expanded

    During Trip
N/A. My husband died suddenly; I cancelled our trip.

    Claim Process
Now we'll see. I had to wait until I got what refunds I could before I filed the claim. Blame Air Canada for not getting it done after they had okayed theirs.
Of course I called Travel Insured the day I cancelled (April 12). They sent the forms immediately. I didn't find the forms easy.

Travel Insured International policy: Worldwide Trip Protector Lite

    Claim Process
The reimbursement was for stolen carry-on baggage (fishing rods). My homeowners insurance paid for loss, less $1000 deductible. I claimed the home owners insurance deductible to TII. They paid on the depreciated value less $50 deductible. It was a very fair resolution to the loss. I have used them many times in the past (with no claims) and will continue to use them in the future. A very satisfied customer.

Travel Insured International policy: Worldwide Trip Protector

    During Trip
No comment since I did not use during trip

    Claim Process
I fell and thought I sprang my foot while in Africa. I refuse to see a doctor while in Africa. Upon my return I contacted the insurance to let them know I plan to see my own physician and wanted to know how to file a claim. Insurance told me my coverage ended on the last day of my trip and since I did not contact the insurance company I could not file a claim. It was never bought to my attention that I had to call in an injury. I was very disappointed.

Travel Insured International policy: Worldwide Trip Protector Lite

    Before Trip
Fortunately we did not have to make any claims as our trip went smoothly. We will be using Squaremouth in the future as I have elderly parents and am never sure when one might become ill.

Travel Insured International policy: Worldwide Trip Protector Plus

    Before Trip
The whole thing was done online, so there was no contact with customer service people. The online system worked fine.

    During Trip
Since we didn't have reason to submit a claim or contact the company, there are no ratings to give.

Travel Insured International policy: Worldwide Trip Protector

    During Trip
We had a health emergency and had to go to the emergency room in China. Our tour guide was the best and did everything but the insurance company provided excellent backup and follow through. They contacted us many times until we determined that the issue was minor and we continued our trip.

    Claim Process
Our emergency bill was only $30 so we did not file a claim and kept the hospital record as a souvenir.
