Thanksfully I didn't need to file a claim, but the overall experience of setting up the insurance was very simple and gave me piece of mind.

Claim Process
When I initially called with our claim (including details of why claim was being made) on 2/22/12, I was told by Cindy at Travel Insured that our insurance would cover the delayed departure of our trip. Only today (3/16/12) did we learn that we would not be reimbursed because of an exclusion in the policy. We initially had a choice of canceling our trip and getting a full credit for a later trip by the resort. We chose not to do this because Cindy told me we would be reimbursed for the delayed departure and could continue with the shortened trip.
