Company required confirmation of flight delay from my airline. I was not able to get that from the airline and the insurance company went out of their way to contact the airline directly. The claim was then paid with no problem.

Wen I read the SquareMouth description of the policy, it showed a provision of $25,000 for non medical evacuation. In the actual policy document it said nothing about non medical evacuation. It only described medically necessary evacuation. One reason I bought the policy was for the non medical evacuation provision.

When I initially called with our claim (including details of why claim was being made) on 2/22/12, I was told by Cindy at Travel Insured that our insurance would cover the delayed departure of our trip. Only today (3/16/12) did we learn that we would not be reimbursed because of an exclusion in the policy. We initially had a choice of canceling our trip and getting a full credit for a later trip by the resort. We chose not to do this because Cindy told me we would be reimbursed for the delayed departure and could continue with the shortened trip.
