The documentation of the policy I bought arrived *after* we left home even though I finalized our purchase 14 days before departure. (I did print out the Confirmation of Benefits received by email, so we did have proof of coverage -- but without precise knowledge of what was actually covered.) It seems that this company's procedures are similar to those of its competitors, in that it is very difficult or impossible to find out what you are buying before you agree to pay. They say if you don't like the policy after you have purchased it, you may cancel and receive a refund. However, for us this was impossible since the policy booklet arrived at our home after we had departed. If there ever was a case of buying a pig in a poke, this is surely it.

Some protections could be explained a little better. I had to call to check wether or not we were covered for any volcano erruptions. Not clear on the policy.
