Customers appreciate Travel Insured International’s helpful and responsive customer service. Many have positive claims experiences, though some report challenges in meeting the provider’s documentation requests.
Travel Insured is a good choice for travel insurance. Their pricing is excellent; their insurance coverage options are plentiful. The claims process is arduous, but fair considering that they must perform their due diligence on the claimed amounts. Documentation is the key word here. An insured must keep every little receipt (and hopefully it a description of the purchased item and not just numbers). My submitted file was an inch thick with all of their requested paperwork. Nevertheless, they paid every cent of the claim. The adjusters were merely following a blueprint of what they request and what you need to submit. I wholly recommend this carrier!
I need to pay the medical expense and then file a claim with my employer-sponsored primary insurance before filing a claim with my travel insurance. It will be a relatively long process in my case to get my refund. The BCBS Global Core will take around 60 days to examine my claim. The Travel Insured International assures me that I have a long time window (like 190 days) to file my claim after trip complete.
We are waiting for our claim check. My husband got pneumonia 3 days before we were to leave.

We are very happy with Travel Insured. We had to cancel our trip three days before we were to leave due to pneumonia. It took about 3 to 4 weeks and we were reimbursed the full amount we were entitled to.
I filed a claim for a refund for the deposit I made for my trip when the travel agency went bankrupt. I was told the reason was covered but then it was denied because the trip was transferred to another travel agency. I still lost my deposit and had to put a new one down. I filed an appeal and provided all the documents I was told to provide and the company stopped returning my calls and emails. I would give them zero stars if I could. They absolutely SUCK!
Very quick to provide claim for a travel delay. Thank you very much.
Prior to the trip I ended up needing to add a night because we decided to stay in Barcelona an extra day so I called and was able to add a day free of charge. That was just an awesome and unexpected experience. Thanks, Rick
I have found Travel Insured International to be a very easy company to work with for travel insurance. Their representatives are friendly, knowledgeable, patient and efficient. Their policies provide the coverages we need at a reasonable price.
It was easy to adjust our insurance coverage as we added non-reimbursable expenses to our travel plans.
Fortunately we did not have to make a claim. But having the insurance gave us peace of mind had something unexpected happened when traveling with our large family group.
They are not allowing a refund because they say the underlying people who set up the meeting that reimburse for part of those charges however, the contract that I have with PALsays no reimbursements for cancellation. This was very clear and I am getting no reimbursement.
What is really covered was not made clear to me. “Why would most people buy travel insurance!” That’s rhetorical but obviously given the Middle East “war” is what matters.
That’s why I bought it and I bet so did everyone else. Lack of applicable coverage was never mentioned.
I was very surprised (or not) to find almost everything in the trip was excluded. In fact I had a pretty tough time figuring out what would be paid for.
So, anyone, one more example of sales taking precedence over value. No endorsement from me.
I would have given the claim process 5 stars, however, until I was connected with a claim representative, I received repeated requests to send documentation that I had already sent. Once connected with the professional and helpful rep, all went smoothly. I received my reimbursement within the time frame given.
