Had to cancel a $25,000 cruise with a week's notice due to a medical emergency involving my fiance's father. Handled the claim entirely online; lots of forms to fill out but quite straightforward. A very polite customer service representative contacted me to clarify one minor charge and then the claim was approved. The same day the claim was approved I received an email with a link to have the funds direct deposited in my account, and the funds were there just a few hours later! Total time from starting the claim to receiving the funds was about 3 weeks. Very pleased, and I have since purchased policies from Travel Insured for 2 more trips; hopefully we won't need to make claims on those policies!
We had a to cancel our trip for health reasons ~4 weeks prior to departure. Most of our travel and lodging expenses were refunded by the hotels and airlines; however, there were several random expenses (pre-paid tours, ground transportation, travel agent costs ) that weren't refundable. It took time with paperwork, but we were very happy that those were all reimbursed in full by TII.
The phone agent was very helpful, walking me through the claims filing process, and the necessary paperwork was sent promptly via email.

we were delayed and rebooked for 2 days in Newark. Finally rented a car to drive home. Took months to complete claim, with lots of documents requested. Not worth having the insurance
