Payment was relatively prompt...but too much paperwork was required for a small claim of only $150.00
It turns out that where I was for much of my trip (Northern Greenland), there would have been no way for me to get to a medical facility for most of my trip. I wish that someone at your office had investigated this and let me know that only part of my trip could be covered for insurance.
Second- for all of us who don't make claims, I urge you to give us some credit toward our next policy with you. Not a refund- but a noteworthy credit toward the next policy for our next travel plans.
thanks for asking for feedback. The people I did converse with were friendly and helpful- just not as informed as I would have liked looking back. The policy is comprehensive, and a good one. Next time I will have to do more research about "what if" as I travel to remote places.
The claims process seemed to involve a lot of excess paperwork (multiple letters from the airline all stating essentially the same thing, which was already documented in an email) and it took a fair bit of time to process considering how straight-forward the issue was (delayed flught led to missed connection and need to stay overnight in interim city).
Claim handling took longer than initially communicated
So far my experience has been very good. My mom passed away on day 6 of our 23-day trip. I do not know the outcome yet but am hoping for the best and appreciate that Squaremouth will be keeping tabs!
We are both a healthy 70+ and purchased a more inclusive option, which increased the cost but worth the peace of mind.. Our 2 week trip to Copenhagen , Stockholm and the Baltic countries was incident free - so no claims.

The claims are hard to file - the categories and traveler sections don't make sense for the claim.
I filed one claim on 6/23 and have heard nothing back. The other claim I finished today but there was no option to file for illness so I had to file under accident and all of the paperwork doesn't make sense for this claim.
Overall, not great experience so far.
I have not filed my claims yet because I am still gathering documentation. Will see how it goes. I have never filed a claim until this trip.
Will purchase this policy if I go on another cruise.
