Customers appreciate Travel Insured International’s helpful and responsive customer service. Many have positive claims experiences, though some report challenges in meeting the provider’s documentation requests.
My wife and I had an unfortunate experience when traveling in Europe. My wife's backpack was stolen at a coffee shop in Geneva and she lost her iPad, coat, wallet and some personal items. After returning, we filed an online claim and received a timely response and reimbursement for the losses. The process required uploading a police report and receipts, which fortunately we had, so it was relatively easy and approved after review.
providing required docs was very onerous.
<< had to submit the same documents multiple times
<< was NOT notified when docs weren't sufficient -- had to follow up on my own to find out that they didn't get something.
<< they requested docs which weren't available to me as they didn't exist...
final insurance claim was paid out -- but it took over 2 months.
The claims process required copious amounts of documentation. However, after approximately one month, I ended up getting a full refund, which was the most important outcome.
Refund for medical expenses was as hoped for and in a reasonable time.
Squaremouth was once again my travel insurance resource. I recently completed a one month trip to Thailand, UAE, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. I didn't need to file a claim. However, I contacted Squaremouth customer service prior to choosing a policy. I wanted to ensure that neither Pakistan or Afghanistan would be excluded from coverage. The customer service agent advised me to check exclusions on the policies I was considering to verify that neither country was excluded. I didn't see such exclusions on the policy details of the insurance policies I was considering, so I made a choice that seemed to be a good for my needs. I always choose primary medical care which is a bit more expensive, but the smartest option for my needs. With secondary coverage, you must try to get compensation from your personal insurance first, a hassle I don't want to deal with. Primary medical from a Squaremouth policy is the best way to go.
This travel insurance was not accepted by Bangkok Hospital in Thailand. I am very disappointed because I ended up using out of pocket since Bangkok Hospital checked with this travel insurance and they were not accepted at this very common and safe hospital throughout Thailand.
Claim is still pending. Forms don't necessarily cover details.
It took a little while before we received payment, after receiving notification that our claim had been approved. Otherwise, we were very satisfied with our experience.
Got an email after my initial phone call te First Notice with a list of information I will need to provide for my claim. I have looked numerous places online for a copy of the Trip Interruption Claim Form but have been unable to locate. I am gathering invoices and will contact a Claims Rep for more information. Thank you for the inquiry.
I have had no negative interactions with them. I have filed a claim because my son-in-law discovered he has cancer through a recent surgery so my daughter and I could not leave hi and the children. I sent the claim this week. I tried to carefully follow all their directions but I thought it was unfortunate that if I made a small mistake I would start the clock for reimbursement at 15 weeks again. It is so easy for a company to take your money, but so hard to get something back.
