Customers appreciate Travel Insured International’s helpful and responsive customer service. Many have positive claims experiences, though some report challenges in meeting the provider’s documentation requests.
My wife developed some sort of eye infection while on a cruise. After a couple of days it got so bad she had to see the ship's doctor. The doctor prescribed three medications that we had to pay for "out of pocket". Upon returning home, she contacted a Travel Insured International representative who was very polite and very helpful. The representative explained how to file the claim, and in less than 2 weeks we were fully reimbursed for all our claimed medical expenses.
What else would you want from a travel insurance company. I highly recommend Travel Insured International.
I'm in the process of gathering the documentation (trip interruption claim)
We had to cancel our trip because my husband had serious medical issues. We have not received a response to our claim. We are awaiting a response to the claim we filed. Then I hope we can re-evaluate. We are hoping that we’ll be able to give you as good a rating as we did for your earlier work!
Was disappointed that when I extended my trip for a few days while out of the country, I was unable to extend the travel insurance. That is not clearly stated when taking out the policy. It seems to me that travelers might frequently make a change that results in extra days in a trip and they are out of luck for travel insurance if they do so while out of the country.
MY WIFE WAS BITTEN BY A DOG AND REQUIRED SHOTS SHE NEEDED MORE SHOTS AND ADDITIONAL TREATMENT AFTER WE CAME HOME. THE INSURANCE CO. REFUSED TO REIMBURSE US. WE SHOULD HAVE STAYED ABROAD , MISS OUR FLIGHT AND HAD MORE EXPENSES. .
We paid $382 for the travel insurance for all NINE of us journeying to the Philippines for our very first family trip there. 3 months after airline ticket booking, the airlines notified us of their flight schedule changing out of Seoul, South Korea, forcing us to change our return flight itinerary. Even though the airline put us up in a hotel overnight and offered us meal coupons at specific restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, the pre-selected food options were not to our liking. Plus upon arrival, an emergency alert showed up on all of our mobile phones which was translated by an airline rep as a "microdust alert" and we needed to wear masks due to a high pollution alert (!). When we finally arrived into Chicago, our first stop was TGIFridays for our eager taste buds - that meal was reimbursed. Alongside the airline covering the hotel cost since the delay was due to their scheduling change, to be reimbursed by Travel Insured $340 for travel delay expenses for that one night in Seoul was absolutely wonderful and the peace of mind for the ENTIRE trip was PRICELESS. THANK YOU, TRAVEL INSURED, FOR TOTAL PEACE OF MIND THAT WE WERE FULLY COVERED IN CASE ANY HEALTH, WEATHER, BAGGAGE, FLIGHT CHALLENGE AROSE!!
We had to cancel our trip when our son was diagnosed with cancer. Travel Insured International has been great to deal with and are processing our claim now. I would absolutely choose to use them again.

The process for filing a claim was transparent and very easy. Customer service was very helpful when I contacted them. I would definitely purchase from them again.
I realized the day before we were to leave for Italy that the dates on the policy were incorrect. The policy was ending the day our trip was beginning. I apparently had entered the incorrect dates for our trip back in September. I called customer service and asked if they could change the dates so we were covered for our trip. The woman who talked with me told me I had to send a copy of our airline tickets (departures) with the request. So I did--but I did not know whether we were covered or not, really. I was on the trip and I think an email came that indicated we were ok, but it wasn't terribly clear. Anyway--all is well that ends well. Still don't have our baggage which missed the plane apparently, but expect it today. Kelly Nessle
Once claim documents were submitted processing time was quick and better than expected.
I needed to increase my coverage based on the fact that I wanted to prepay more of the trip before leaving the USA. I called, and within minutes, I had accomplished the purpose and I could have peace of mind.
