They require too much documentation for the claim. They are almost non-responsive to inquiries. They have not been paid yet but AIG that covered my airfare for this same trip has already paid me. I developed pneumonia a few days before departure and provided medical documentation on having to cancel my walking tour in Spain based on recommendations of two physicians. Their website is very poor and gives almost no information on the status of my claim. Excessive non-pertinent documentation they requested includes a written statement from a travel agent proving that I have not gotten a refund or credit. I did not use a travel agent and I provided Fresco Tours cancellation policies that clearly show no refund or credits for cancellations received within 30 days of the start of the tour. I would never use this company again for travel insurance.
I had to cancel my trip before leaving, so they were very helpful and didn't charge me.
I have filed a claim by mailing in the forms. Too early yet to tell about what the outcome experiece will be. Hoping to be reimbursed for the expenses we incur redrelated to my husband, Thomas Paine's, visit to the ship doctor.

Need to be clearer about primary coverage and how policy works. Explaining that you have to pay up front, bill your other insurance companies first, do all the paperwork and then submit a claim. Outrageously expensive insurance for what you get and rarely use, too many loopholes, long periods you have to be without your luggage to get reimbursed as an example. In other countries it is about one half the cost.
I felt comfortable on trip with the travel insurance protection.
I made a claim for reimbursement of one travelers air ticket after they had to cancel the trip. I experienced a lack of response to repeated emails week after week, even when re-forwarding prior emails, the agent was either completely overwhelmed or intentionally unresponsive hoping I would go away? Ultimately I received the partial refund but it took excessively long in my opinion.
Great, easy purchase experience. Fortunately all went well on our trip so no claim was required.
