Travelex Travel Insurance Reviews

This is my fourth time in purchasing travel insurance for trips to Africa. Always has been easy. My only question has been - did I buy duiplicate insursance however it is peace of mind.

I majored in insurance in college and was actively employed in the insurance business for over 40 years. I was pleasantly surprised that Square Mouth and Travel Ex put together a very easily understood set of coverages and provided a number of option s from which to choose. Anyone who takes this approach gets my vote.

We are not pleased with the results of the claim. Travelex chose a date for our cancellation of the trip (the date my wife initially visited a doctor) which is not the date that we cancelled the trip. By doing so, they reduced the amount of our claim by 25%.
I am not sure how to proceed. Should I work with you or contact Travelex directly?

We always buy travel insurance when we travel out of the country, and every time it has been worth it. This was our second time purchasing Travelex insurance, and our second time filing a claim with them, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. When our emergencies have occurred while traveling, their customer service has been excellent both times and they make you feel much more at ease. Overall, the claim process works very well and they are very fair about reimbursement as long as you make sure everything is properly documented (read your policy!). They also reimburse your claim expenses much faster than other insurance companies we've used before, and without hassle. They only lose one star for the claim process because of some initial confusion with how claim paperwork needed to be submitted and because their "track your claim" feature online does not seem to work. I definitely recommend their travel policy, even if you never need it the peace of mind is well worth it, and when you do need it, they deliver.

Travelex answered all of my pre-purchase insurance questions, also the pricing of their insurance was excellent! I would recommend this insurance to anyone.

TrVelex did reimburse to our satisfaction. They refused a non refundable hotel bill even though all info was included

I have not used a travel insurance claim service before. Travel insurance is purchased primarily for medical and extraction purposes. And, this was the first time in many years my bag has been misplaced for more than a day or two.

I simply filed a claim using the form available on line. Attached as much supporting documentation as possible and mailed it.

A decision was made and check issued within days.

No problems buying the policy but clearly understanding it is more of a challenge. Most unclear is the required documentation needed for a covered claim.
