There was no need to contact prior to trip. I had a medical emergency during the trip. I attempted to contact NW Ins. by phone regarding intent to file a Claim while on trip. Only able to contact by internet. Email was received acknowledging my contact, but no follow up after that.

Claim was filed 12/1/2021. First contact from CBP was an email on 1/2/2021 saying they are behind in processing claims. No estimate on when they expect to process it.
We've initiated a claim because our flight was canceled, effectively canceling the entire trip, since we were unable to reschedule the flight in time to complete the trip. We're awaiting documentation from American Airlines and our travel agent to complete the claim. So far, we're completely satisfied, though we've really just started.
I submitted a claim on September 15, 2021 providing all of the documentation required. No one has gotten back with me, though they tell me via standard reply that things are taking longer than usual.
But, I expect more from Squaremouth and their insurance carriers. I am not angry, just looking for an actual agent to call me and say something like, "You're important to us. We hope to have your claim reviewed by X date. Thank you for being patient. Here's a number where you can reach us if you have any concerns or questions."
But I get nothing. Have gotten nothing. I'm frustrated and I am feeling taken advantage of by thinking my trip was insured with a reputable company, but reputable companies don't treat their clients like I am being treated.

Everything easy-as-pie, smooth-as-silk. Happy with the experience of purchasing the policy and modifying it several times prior to departure. I did not need to file any claims.
Filed my claim in September and was told it would take 15 days to hear back. it has been almost a full month and still have not received any correspondence.
I really like the way Squaremouth is set up so the user can easily compare plans. I initially made a mistake with the data entry of the end date of our trip, and it was easily and quickly rectified after one email to customer service of Nationwide Mutual Insurance. Thank you for such a great service.
I had to increase the amount of insurance because my trip costs went up. The associated with Nationwide was efficient, friendly and very helpful.
Your policy doesn't show clearly who to actually contact.
Also your Squaremouth policy shows different information that Nationwide.
Your policy shows an interuption amount of $7,500 but Nationwide show it as half that.

My claim hasn't been handled.
I have written to you multiple times to make a claim and can't even find how to make it.
I haven't had a single email or call back and I first wrote to you the first week in September.
Your emergency line doesn't work. It sent me to Nationwide who had no idea what my policy was of the number for me to call.
Horrible experience. I was terribly sick in Jamaica and couldn't contact anyone.
I just need to make a claim.

My trip was postponed, and I’m working on transferring the insurance to my next trip. Haven’t heard if that was been accepted.
Gave us a sense of calm to know we had the policy
